Went with the full platter (3 item choices). What an excellent experience! Amazing food, off the road atmosphere. The fish market is dedicated to sourcing only quality fish. They are veteran oyster farmers as well. Very very knowledgeable about their trade and this knowledge and passion for quality is exhibited in everything else.

Great oysters for shucking at home. Call ahead to reserve an order greater than 3 dozen. Major “import” find: Tuna Jerky from Hawaii! Small but terrific selection of fish market/shelf stable items such as tinned fish.

Simply delightful - wonderful oysters, the Moveable Feast was a great selection including cheese and figs and fresh blackberries in addition to the seafood. Kids loved the cured salmon, croutons, and pasta - not to mention the yard games and coloring options! Cocktails were great, we'd come back for sure. Restaurant hours are different from store hours - lunch only Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Our family went to the Oysteria before dinner and ordered cocktails and the sea-cuterie platter (and oysters of course). Some favorites were the cod cheeks, tuna, and smoked halibut pâté. Our server, Jan, was excellent. We will definitely be back!
That was one of the best meals of our lives! Fresh, tasty oysters and delectable sea-cuterie plates. We'd come back to Maine just to come here! Also very friendly staff and cozy outdoor seating. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50
Highly recommend! Great place to stop for fresh oysters and a drink, similar to Island Creek for those that know. The shop also has lots of great stuff to take home too - fresh seafood, oysters and shellfish, snacks, homemade soups, pates and other food items. Plus beer and wine and other drinks. They make their own mignonette sauces and they are really unique and tasty. Thank you Smokey and Kaylee! Meal type Other Price per person $10–20

Absolutely some of the best oysters I have ever had! The house made sauces were just right....not overpowering the delicate sweetness of these oysters. I will stop by here EVERY time we pass by! If you are even near this area in Maine....drive past all the tourist stops and come by here! Update: Stopped by again today and once again, they exceeded my expectations....IF YOU LIKE OYSTERS THIS IS A MUST STOP! Don't forget your holiday supplies, they have it all! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
When we first arrived we went into the store and was greeted by one of the owners. He was very friendly and gave us the run down of the store and Oysteria, we then proceeded outside to have some food. We started with a beer and raw oysters. The oysters were absolutely delicious! Then my wife and I shared an assortment platter called a seacutari (seafood variation of a chucutari). It was to die for! I could have eaten the whole thing myself! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and will definitely come back next year. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

We love Pemaquid oysters. They have tables set up in the backyard where you can have oysters with a choice of mignonettes. We had a couple of dozen jumbos which are larger then the oysters that you typically see in restaurants.

The Pemaquid oyster, hands down one of the east coast’s most delicious bivalves, exists as we know it thanks to Smokey and his two partners. They founded Pemaquid Oyster Co. 35 years ago, and have recently opened up a chill, quaint, and slightly quirky hub where you can enjoy Pemaquids straight from the folks who farm them. Whatever doesn’t get served up onsite is sent out into the rest of the world to be enjoyed by those who are forced to wait on the distribution network to do its thing. Even better, Smokey’s other half, Kayli, offers up various prepared foods and provisions in the same spot. Along with lemon wedges, our oysters were served (by Smokey himself) with four small squirt bottles, each with a different sauce that Kayli conjures up. Of course the oysters are amazing by themselves and didn’t actually need any of them, but we enjoyed testing them all out anyway. While the winner was the blueberry lemon, they were all so good that after the last oyster was gone, I squirted a little of each sauce in an empty oyster shell and threw them back as an encore performance. Whether you already know Pemaquids or want to experience them for the first time, there’s no better place to enjoy them than at the HUB @ Pemaquid Oyster Co.
