Here's the thing... This place completely blew my mind. I do quite a few reviews on bars, restaurants and more and I have nothing to compare it to in the Twin Cities area. This place has breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The versatile menu made me concerned over quality of the food. In reality, I had NOTHING to be worried about. We attended around 11:30 am on a February Saturday. Small parking lot with adjacent street parking. It was pretty busy but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. We had amazing and friendly service, the food was so good that I even ordered a raspberry 75 from the bar, which also blew my mind in flavor. Overall this place is a tad expensive, but worth every penny because of the quality, taste and experience. Definitely make it a stop!
Our two meals were delicious. We ordered onion rings for a starter. The were great and generous. Our server was excellent. It was crowded at lunch on Saturday. Lots of women chattering in the sun room. Will go again.

OMG, do NOT pass by you must stop and eat! Patrick was a wonderful server and took very good care of us. Great suggestions, samples and great personality! We even witnessed a mishap at a near by table. Patrick instantly turned the situation into a positive and addressed the issue immediately. We live out of state but when we are back we will definitely visit The Hilltop again!

Visited 12/9/2023 for dinner. Maybe my experience was just a one off, but i was not impressed. I had the smash burger - it was not a smash burger at all - it was two tiny hamburger patties that together covered the bun (maybe). It wasn’t smashed at all. I paid the extra $2 for onion rings and they were cold and I think I had 6. Definitely wouldn’t go back. In addition the army/navy game was on and there was some guy at the bar yelling at the tv. Then behind us there was a table of just young boys (mom’s were at a separate table) and they were making all kinds of noise. Made it tough to have a nice dinner.

Great food and great interior ambiance. You definitely don't expect it to be as nice when you say the building from the exterior. Definitely worth the wait.
First time to this community institution. Classic atmosphere, we sat in the patio, which isn't really a patio in the winter, but is very cozy. I had the pear salad at the recommendation of our server and it was delicious. Super busy, street parking afterbthe tiny parking lot was full. I will go back.

What I look for at breakfast, is how soon the coffee shows up. Is it hot? Is the cream closest by? How soon after I order is the food brought? I was pleasantly surprised. Coffee was hot . Cream was cold and fresh. And my breakfast was brought in no time. The toast was buttered, much so, that it glistened. Eggs were hot, whites were firm, yokes ran like yellow paint. And the hash browns? Nestled to one side; crisp to the touch, hot to the taste buds. A delicious component deserving of sour cream. I may not eat dinner, just so I can return to this well run restaurant. Did I mention that there's no wait? No where to go? Know where to go... Hilltop.
