Disappointing lack of vegetarian, vegan or kids options on the brunch menu. The harvest frittata was colorful but bland, lacking any interesting seasoning. There were no whole grain bread options available. It's a great location in the center of my home town, and a nice setting/ambience inside, but the menu really lets it down. It's not much of a Hideout anymore, the place is huge compared to the previous location! The service was very good, the food looked good but, fell short in my opinion since the Smoked Salmon Benedict and potatoes were barely luke warm, served on a thin & cold plate... Someone mentioned it seemed like the place had undertones of a Sports Bar with the TVs going and I have to mention the annoying music thumping in the background like a club getting ready for the night crowd when having Brunch. Service was very good. Parking is atrocious because it's Lafayette, so bring extra quarters. Dining ambience was the worst: this is effectively structured as a sports pub, yet not advertised as such. Too many rowdy, inconsiderate sports fans will ruin your dining experience if a game is on the tele. Food: tasty sauces yet undercooked pasta dishes across the board. Does no one in the kitchen own a timer? Chicken was completely inedible, bereft of flavor despite the generous portions. On a positive note, the food prices are very reasonable for the zip code and the portions are, again, quite generous. All sauces and sides were excellent. Back to the negative. Cocktail menu: WAY too short for a bar of this size and utterly lacking in imagination. Honestly, if the owners cannot concoct two dozen drinks, they should just close and do brunch mimosas. Wine list: embarrassing. Not one recognizably legitimate--or decent--name and yet with prices rivaling the napa A-listers. Hire an effing sommelier as a consultant; i'm free on Tuesdays. Our server had to tell us the place was "out" of one wine...do you not do pre-shift meetings to address these things? Our server, btw, deserves a raise. Cessia. Probably misspelling it, my apologies. This is a sports pub masquerading as a restaurant. Try harder. Please. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

Went on a Thursday night, we had reservations which we highly recommend. Service was outstanding! Music was loud on a portable speaker despite having speakers in the ceiling. Had the Octopus which was $22 for a small portion and extremely tough. We split the Cesar salad which was half a Romaine head cut in half (so a quarter). Dinner for 2 was $200+. That was also a surprise. Food was mediocre for the price. Copperidge was in this spot before and I hate to say it, but they were a better value. We may go back, but for the price there are better options available in Lafayette. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
this new location is beyond amazing! i’m so happy for JB and the staff to have this big space to serve tons of people each night and the extra kitchen room to expand on their already amazing menu. I also love how you can just drop in for a drink at the bar with a friend or have a meal with family. i think this new space will bring more people together for all types of occasions. i’m so happy for everyone at hideout! I met some friends for lunch here. The food is good, but I wish they had more vegan options and that their fish were wild caught. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
