Very cute tiki bar with friendly staff, good drinks and good food. I think the food was a little overpriced for the portion provided, but I guess you were paying for the ambience . You enter this restaurant through what looks to be a kitchen. We went on a Thursday night around 5:30 PM and it was pretty empty when we arrived, however, when we left, there was a line outside. They had a really good happy hour menu that had both drinks and food, I did not get a photo because it was too dark. If you plan to drive there, do not try to park in their parking lot, all the spaces are privately metered and super expensive. You can either park on some areas of the street for free or pay a much cheaper rate at a street meter. One of the best tiki bars I've been to on the West Coast! Arrived in time for happy hour and ordered a bunch of apps. The tuna tacos were amazing and the pork Mac was also great. Their Mai tai was top tier and the other drinks we ordered were great. The most impressive was the rum list and selection. Multiple Appleton hearts, black tot last consignment, even some caroni! Taylor was quite knowledgeable (being the bar manager) and was very generous with samples. Definitely make sure to pick up a bottle of their exclusives if you are into rum, the Dr. Bird barrel pick was amazing. 5/5, will be back next time in town with more friends. P.S. - would totally join the rum club if I lived closer... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
10/10 experience!!! The food was tasty! The drinks were delicious and unique. The service and energy from the workers were unmatched. Walking through the secret door in the kitchen to this beautiful oasis is a lovely experience. Definitely recommend giving it a try! Will be coming back for sure Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Grass Skirt has quickly become our go-to spot, especially for special occasions. We were searching for a place for drinks and were delighted we chose this spot. Although we didn't have dinner reservations, they seated us right away. Greeted by a hostess, we had a view of the kitchen and walked through a fridge-like door, which was pretty cool. Initially seated near a heater, we requested to move to a booth as it was too warm, and they happily accommodated us. The place has a dim, colorful vibe with Christmas decorations. Initially drawn in by the Christmas theme, once we saw the food menu, we knew we had to try their offerings, though it took us a while to decide what to order. For drinks, we tried the Jungle Bird, evoking tropical paradise, and the Yule Tide, with a fruity Christmas essence. As for food, we ordered Dan Dan Noodles, Grilled Shrimp Pad Thai, Fiji Albacore Poke Bowl, and the Snow Globe dessert, which was the highlight of the night—a magical creation made with Julian Apple Cider Donut, Almond Cake, and Pine Needle Ice Cream. The portions were decent, and the prices were fair. Everything we tried was delicious, leaving us completely satisfied. The service was quick, and our server was friendly, accommodating, and offered great food and drink recommendations. Additionally, she suggested other places in the area worth visiting. We plan to return, especially since we heard they frequently change their menu, showcasing their dedication and passion in curating their offerings. Cute speakeasy atmosphere. Tiki bar lovely decorated for Xmas. Busy, best to make reservations or you'll be waiting 30 mins to an hour at least and this was on a Tuesday week before Xmas. Bartender was nice and attentive. Drinks were nice as well. Unfortunately when we finally made it in just in time for the kitchen to close on us. Overall a cute place to check out or take your partner there as it's a bit of a romantic kind of place too. 😊 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
