We had dinner on a rainy night in mid August 2023. The restaurant wasn't super busy. Heat lamps were available on the patio, so that made it comfortable to sit outside. The shrimp cocktail and mussels appetizers were very good. The fish was fresh and tasty, and the mussels had a nice chorizo and tomato broth with bread supplied for dipping. The octopus appetizer was very nicely done. The pear arugula salad was huge and delicious. The steak tips had a bit too much spice but otherwise were cooked to perfection, with potatoes and carrots. Nothing special for dessert, so we passed on that. This is a family friendly place with a large grassy area next to the patio where kids can run around. They can also be somewhat noisy. At times it felt like we were seated next to a playground while eating on the patio. The food and portion sizes are very good, but the prices are fining dining without the atmosphere. This is a good casual restaurant, but if I'm paying fine dining prices, I'd like a comparable atmosphere. Not sure if we would return. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We have driven by many times, so this was our first time eating here. The drinks were delicious and well prepared. We had the mussels and crab cake for appetizers, the mussels were the best I have ever had anywhere! The entrées were also delicious. We had the Duck and the Shrimp and pasta dish. The lemon cake for dessert was also great. We look forward to many more dining experiences here! Went for dinner with a group of other moms, and everyone was very happy. The food was delicious, as were the drinks. I had a pasta dish that was perfection. And I could have easily eaten any dish from our table and would have been just as happy. The only downside was that the creme brulee was over done, or was curdled because of the added lemon (not sure which) but they took it off our bill. I can't wait to go back and bring my husband. Went for the first time for dinner with my husband. Throughly impressed! The patio was comfortable and the heaters were appreciated. Fantastic service, entrees were both incredible! My husbands surf and turf was the best he had in years. We will be back!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Recommended dishes Surf and Turf
Nice fancy restaurant with great food. Octopus was quite good as well as the crab cakes. Rack of lamb was tasty and the grilled sword fish was seasoned just right. To end it all, the expresso martini was exquisite. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Grilled Octopus

This place is only an 8ish minute walk from the center of town, do NOT let it deter you that it's not right downtown. They have an amazing ambiance, outdoor bar and lawn games. Modern decor and very clean. The bar serves up super balanced drinks. The house-made parpadelli should be unavoidable if you come here. We had the bouillabaisse and will have to come back for the pasta vodka. Their bread is amazing, mussels were a flavor bomb and risotto; creamy, delicious and the saffron puts it over the edge. If you're staying in Ogunquit.... Go here, you won't be disappointed. I wish this place was my front yard!! The atmosphere is exactly that! Friendly, social, and fun! I'm sure there are no wrong dishes to choose but the brussel sprouts are THE ABSOLUTE BEST EVER! Atleast that was the opinion of the three of us that had them! It is now my goal to figure that recipe out for my #nevertrustaskinnycook page. If in Ogunquit... you should definitely enjoy The Front Yard! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Wow, I'm impressed! I've been curious about this place but I don't eat out often. Gave it a try after seeing a show at the ogunquit playhouse and was thoroughly delighted with my meal as were the others in my party. Far enough away from route one that you don't even hear the traffic on the patio which is my biggest gripe with the route one restaurants.Waitress was friendly. The entire menu looked amazing, I had a hard time picking. Nice atmosphere on the patio. Our swordfish and scallops were to die for. Gelato was amazing too. A plus! Already trying to figure out when I can come back to try the duck. ❤️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you want top notch quality service, delicious culinary choices, and a relaxed unpretentious approach to fine dining, then The Front Yard is for you. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Recommended dishes Front Yard Lobster Risotto
Wanted a nice dinner for a special occasion. Some locals in town mentioned this place. The outdoor dining area was booked so we sat inside but the AC was so cool it was a bit uncomfortable if you didn't have a jacket. I had the Pear salad and had asked if I could add crumbled gorgonzola cheese to it and there was barely any cheese. I ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Alla Vodka and the flavor was good, but there were super tiny shreds of lobster (no chunks or claws) that I had to search for because I thought I didn't get the right dish that I ordered, only the shrimp were visible. Service was quick. This place has a great menu and I was looking for more upscale options but was a little disappointed in the presentation and barely getting any lobster in my entree. If it's warm weather, sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100
