I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich with baked beans. The beans were great, the chicken sandwich was okay. The restaurant had a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. The wait staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my experience at The Dunedin Smokehouse. The atmosphere was nice with live music. Our server was excellent...very attentive. I got a salad and really enjoyed it. A smokehouse that seems to be lacking smoke!!! Very bizarre. Food looks mostly good but really lacks the depth of flavour you’d expect from a BBQ joint. No smoke ring in sight with the brisket. Ribs that look the part but were pretty bland. It speaks words when the best things we had were the burnt ends and fries…. I ended up leaving more than half of my food- it simply failed to hit the spot. I’m from the UK, but I travel enough to know BBQ - this is far from it.
