I'm sure they do a great job all day long, but I have only been there later in the evening and it is an Oasis for a thirsty and hungry traveler. There is not much open in Pierre later into the evenings. Being able to stop in the Chuckwagon late at night and get not just a drink but some simple and tasty bar food is wonderful. Service is steady, friendly but not always fast. Hard to find folks willing to work late nights in a small city. The folks they have there are great and work really hard. I'm a very occasional out of town visitor and the times I've been there both the staff and the regulars were really warm and friendly. I stopped in on a Sunday after bird hunting and the blond haired bartender made me feel right at home. The food was good and the service was excellent. The next time in fort Pierre I will revisit Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
