We ordered Tamale Cakes for an appetizer, wow delicious! There were four included with this appetizer. Also, ordered Southern Belle cocktail. ❤️ Husband ordered Old Fashioned they don’t skimp on the alcohol. We decided to order the 16 ounce prime rib (medium rare) with a loaded baked potato and the chop salad to split between both of us. Ordered Chocolate Mousse Cake to split for dessert with espresso martini. Great date night with hubby! Thanks James Barbie!! This was our second trip to The Chop House & it has become our favorite. We were with a large party, so we had a chance to try many appetizers along with our salads & steak dinners. We loved everything & the service was amazing. One of the best prime ribs I've had. The shrimp? Delicious! My favorite appetizer was hands down the meatballs. Surprisingly, my second favorite appetizer was the corn cakes (I can't remember what they are called on the menu). We came here for a birthday lunch after church and the service was great until some of the members of our party did not show. That’s when things went left. There was a table that was dropped on my knees and also on my sons legs. I was highly appalled that they decided to spit up our table during our dining after appetizers were served. Also I witnessed a little girl near my table spitting on the floor behind one of my guest that were seated at my table. We still tried to enjoy the moment however I spoke with the manager immediately and she stated that there were a few other reservations that cancelled and I talked to her following our meal and let her know all of these issues and I tried to maintain my composure but we will not willingly return back to this restaurant due to all these issues. The manager did attempt to give out gift cards 💳 for another visit. But I gifted the gift cards to my father in law for a future visit seeing as we were there to celebrate his birthday. Well, let’s state no one can pass up Turkey and dressing!! It was ok, kinda like the frozen meal kinda turkey and dressing. My cranberry sauce was still frozen 😳. First round of sweet tea was good but the refill was unsweetened tea. A little pricey for a mediocre restaurant. But like always this is my opinion.
