I love The Chocolate! I’ve been many times and their desserts are really good! All their desserts are super rich so be ready for that! The classic is their cake of course and it does not disappoint but be ready for DEATH by chocolate if you do order anything 😂. The parking behind the building is way better than most places in Provo haha so that’s nice. Their cookie sandwiches are really good too. Visited this dessert shop after reading a recommendation on the “Female Foodie,” food blog. I’m from NC. This is my second trip to Utah. I’ve always had very pleasant experiences in this state. I did not receive the best customer service from the young woman who came to the counter when I entered. She did not greet me or offer assistance. She stared at me as if I was lost, and so I greeted her. There was a young man who actually stepped to the forefront to help. I addressed my questions about the desserts to him. He was courteous and pleasant - thank you. I purchased “the Cherub,” and the Lemon Raspberry cake. The latter was my favorite - the raspberry filling was nothing short of decadent.

The Chocolate is our favorite bakery to get special occasion cakes. This time we opted for the dark chocolate and raspberry heart shaped cake, and it did not disappoint! The cake was rich, moist, chocolate was pleasantly dark omitting the bitterness. The raspberry coulis at the top gave a lovely tart note, and the fresh raspberries were very much appreciated. For $7 a slice I expect better. The frosting was tasty, but the cake was incredibly dry and dense. It looked like they filled the layers with crumbs to make up for fallen cakes. My first time at the chocolate. It was great! We got a cazookie with chocolate chip and pb cookies, which was a great combination. It’s more expensive than The Wash in Provo, but was out much quicker. The building is cute but small and parking can be hard to find. There is additional parking in the back to the left of the building.

Got the strawberry Nutella and the husband cake slices. For the price, it wasn’t worth the taste. The flavor was lacking in both cakes—they taste sweet instead of having distinct flavors like strawberry and chocolate. One slice was also a little dry and the strawberries in the filling were a little soggy. Good texture, but overall wouldn’t go back for more cake. Haven’t tried their other desserts. Very cute cafe. Great baked goods; seating is perfect for the targeted audience- smaller groups and couples. Seating feels wonky due to the awkward layout of the house they’re based in. But it’s nice and comfortable vibes. They serve the food on ceramic plates which elevates the experience. Presentation of the food is nice. The Chocolate has some really great treats. I love the cakes which are moist and flavorful and the variety of cookie flavors make it hard to choose. The staff is always friendly and happy to give their thoughts when you're trying to decide! One other observation is that the owners really do care about the well-being of their customers which is not typical these days. Thank you for your shop which supplies our area with some homemade deliciousness!

Love this place! I haven’t eaten any treat here that I didn’t like. The old house makes your experience have an interesting atmosphere. Their cake is phenomenal and their skillet cookies are a great treat to share! My favorite dessert place. We come nearly every week 😅 it's SO GOOD. Their cakes are DIVINE and I order them for all our special occasions. Their chocolate coconut cake is the best one, in my correct opinion. Also really love the cherub. Their salted caramel pretzel cookies and the biscoff cookie are mouth watering. And the cazookie! It's never a disappointment coming here.
