Two days before Christmas and Jordan Creek Mall is jam packed. Luckily there was some room in the bar area at the Cheesecake Factory. It’s a chill atmosphere at the moment. Restaurant and restrooms are very clean, as always. The wait staff is awesome, friendly and paying attention. The chicken taquito appetizer was tasty. I couldn't give a 5 star review only because I couldn't believe the price of a margarita during lunch. I should have known when you look at the alcohol menu and they don't have prices on the menu (at least that was the case with my simple lime margarita). My food was good. We had a very nice waitress and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere but have to pass next time on alcohol. My drink was $11.99 and it was a simple lime, not even flavored. Plus, only a few dollars cheaper than my main entree. I have paid that much for a margarita at other restaurants but they were huge and you could taste the alcohol. We decided to stop here during a long drive back from Council Bluffs. Considering how far we had to drive, we felt lunch was in order. And it did not disappoint. Our server was very friendly and kept us informed of any dining specials available at the time. She kept up with other services to our table (refilling my water, bringing out more bread, etc.). She definitely deserved any tips she got that day. Our food was as excellent as the service. My mom got a soup and salad combo (Caesar Salad and Artichoke Mushroom Soup), my dad chose the Flatbread Margherita Pizza, and I selected the Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta. All of which were Lunch Specials; definitely saving us some money. My pasta was delicious: the chicken was tender, the sauce was flavorful and not too spicy, the pasta was neither too hard nor too soft, and the vegetables were cooked well. Between the two breads offered (of which, both were great), I definitely had a preference for the sourdough. It had an excellent crunch on the outside and was fluffy on the inside. Given how well we ate that day, taking our cheesecake to go was the only logical choice. I selected the Caramel Pecan Turtle Cheesecake (as seen in this review). Unfortunately, it was not secured properly for the drive home and got slightly damaged from the driving and bumpy roads. Fortunately, the taste was unaffected and was rich and creamy as one would expect from the signature desserts of the Cheesecake Factory. The other desserts chosen by my parents were the Lemon Raspberry Cream and the 30th Anniversary Chocolate Cake Cheesecakes. Both received nothing but praise. One downside to this place: it gets expensive. Let me emphasize: EXPENSIVE!!! $$$ One slice of cheesecake goes for about $10 these days and that’s including the least fancy options. The slices go for as much as about $13-14. Our bill (tip included) went over $100. For a party of three. Make sure you have plenty of money in the bank for an outing here. If not, wait till later. If this place isn’t too rich for your blood (or credit cards), then you’ll definitely have an excellent meal and no shortage of delectable desserts to savor. I was surprised at how the food was. They were very busy this day, I asked for no mayo and it came out with mayo. The server noticed it immediately and questioned if I had asked for no mayo, I said I had. She wondered if I wanted it fixed, I said don’t worry about it. So I guess it’s my own fault! We had two 15 month old twins. The server was talking to us and one of the curious girls grabbed for her one of 10 pens in her pocket. She asked if the little one would like her pen!!!! I spoke up and said NO!! I guess that she was a younger server, but why would you give a toddler your pen!! For the price we paid and the food the way it was, I guess I expected better. Our server Mackenzie was super knowledgeable with the menu items and what the ingredients were for each, very impressed. Very friendly and courteous as well. First, I would like to address the service we received on our recent trip. Our team member Jonathan was excellent, he just took over our table on beginning his shift and was very welcoming. His service was great, his demeanor very inviting and offered great dining suggestions. Jonathan made our trip valued at The Cheesecake Factory. The pricing is to be expected as you're paying for the luxury of a franchised retail dining experience, but the food doesn't underperform at this location. The servings are ample, the complimentary breads and butter always on point. Anticipate that you will need to get a cheesecake to go, as customary with this restaurant. The atmosphere is alright, the ambient lighting darkened near dinner service, even though we were near a window it was a bit dark. Though, winter weather doesn't help. Overall, this is an experience verse the everyday dining and for a day out with the ladies in my family I am very pleased.
