Fun venue with a close view of the band regardless of where you are inside. Great location around too with places to eat and drink before.

We were only in town for a quick visit last month, and there were no shows happening. I still wanted to check the place out and stopped by on an August Wednesday night. There was a firepit outside, an outside window for food and drinks, and best of all, tons of vintage video games! We stayed for about an hour, enjoying the atmosphere, playing some of our favorites, and even trying some new ones (how have I never heard of Tapper?). Looks like it would be a fun place to catch a show too.

Very cool indoor and outdoor spot. One side has an indoor arcade with old school pinball and arcade games (with high score chalkboards for leaderboard competition). There’s a outdoor fire pit to sit around as well. The indoor section is an inviting spot for live music. One of the better overall bars/venues in this area!

Awesome venue - I've never been somewhere where the drinks where reasonable priced enough to order a few during / before the concert. The venue itself had solid temperature control and was comfortable the entire time. Sound level / clarity was great and the venue was quite clean. It should be noted there is an arcade bar across the street with some food!

Gorgeous little place with such a cool vibe. Cheap tickets to great shows. They have a firepit, bar, food window stage with the iconic stained glass window, even the bathrooms were interesting. There was a burger eating contest when we got there. All of the staff was so nice, and the owner was a super cool guy. I already can't wait to go back again! I really can't say enough good things about it. A sunny place with cold drinks and warm hugs 🌻

Road tripped to Lexington from Minnesota because I wanted to see a particular band at The Burl. I can say it was definitely worth the long drive to see live music at The Burl. It was one of the best places I've seen a live music performance at. The venue is small, but not to cramped or crowded. The acoustics inside the venue were good. The staff at the bar were very friendly and I got to try some amazing local craft beer that they had on tap. All the patrons there were friendly and nice.
Great spot to hang out at. Tuesdays free pinball! The drinks are always flowing. You can catch a show, they have plenty of bands coming in. The food spot by Kismet is fire and soon they will be opening up their own brewery... can't wait.
Fantastic show with the local honeys and willi Carlisle. Can't recommend the burl enough! Acts are great, drinks are fast, and the crowd is great! Don't miss the arcade across the street after the show too!

Great experience finding a parking spot for a quality band wasn't bad either. My favorite venue in Lexington.

I’ve always had the best time at The Burl and recommended it to anyone looking for a unique and safe place to go drink, play games, and listen to music. That was up until my group of girlfriends and I attended The Western Dreamland Disco earlier this month. I have never felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. We were not once but twice verbally assaulted and then once physically assaulted by two separate male patrons. One of these instances happened directly in front of the bar where the bartender had to have seen and heard everything. Nothing was done. The man continued to yell in our faces, screaming sexist and homophobic insults at my group (four women) and then PUSHING one of us. All for declining his unwanted advances. Did it end there? Sadly no. BOTH security members came to check out the scene but the man yelling in our faces was able to saunter off into the crowd and enjoy the rest of the show and nothing further was done. WE ended up leaving. I have never had anything like this happen to me EVER. The Burl was certainly the last place I ever expected to experience something so horrendous. I suggest upping your security and being proactive before someone gets hurt. It sucks that the one place I felt was safe and comfortable as a woman was stripped away.
