Three of us came just for the New Years Day buffet because we heard it was great. It was okay. Some things were really good like the boiled shrimp, beef steak, turkey, cake desserts, funnel cake, Gelato, cranberry sauce were on spot. The hopping John was awesome. The corn on the cob was good, as was the cabbage, & sliced potatoes. The shrimp salad, crab salad and Cesar salad were great. But other items were lacking- mashed potatoes, the cabbage was wimpy, the sweet potatoes had a weird taste,<we ALL THREE agreed on that>, the Italian green beans were over cooked and limp, the flank steak lacked in flavor, the potato salad used sweet pickles, the pickled beets were too sweet. The pizza was just okay. The ham was over salted but otherwise would have been tasty. So food gets 3 star s because a place like this can do much better! There was a very good atmosphere considering the full house of patrons. We had very good, friendly, attentive service. The bathrooms were very clean and kept up. I visited on a Wednesday early evening. I sampled a few Asian dishes all of which were Luke warm at best, however it wasn't heavily salted which I appreciated. The salad bar was the usual buffet fare, nothing outstanding but edible. I also sampled a small portion of Ravoli, I dug deep to get the bit closest to the bottom of the pan, again barely even warm. The two things that I most enjoyed were the wonderful hot yeast rolls and the lemon cream dessert cake. For the price I found it to be underwhelming. If the food had been hot then maybe my review would have been more positive. For a Wednesday evening, which I am assuming is not a very busy night, the food needs to be cooked in much smaller quantities to be edible. Food that is cooked must be held at a 140 degrees f. 2-9-24 @ 0730...The whole place smells like cigarette smoke. The eggs are powdered. Bacon was hard and stuck together. The sausage links were turkey. Eggs Benedict were cold. No toppings offered for eggs. Everything looked AND TASTED like it came out of a frozen box. I've had better meals out of a vending machine. Don't waste your time or money. Had End Cut Prime Rib on Grill and nice guy chef did it w a smile.. Thank You BEST part of Meal!!! Spinach Casserole n Ice Cream very good too . Bottled Beer 3.25.. Rest of Food on Buffet.. Cold n Dry... Will Not Eat Cold Dry Food. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Wow!! The best buffet we have ever had and we are full time travelers that go to a lot of buffets. So many things to choose from and tasty too. Grace, our server was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly. Must be that southern charm we have heard so much about. The desserts alone were worth the price of $14 for lunch.

Great value for your money. Offers a variety of selection such as Asian, Southern and Italian. They also have a carving, dessert, salad and ice cream station. Guests have to be 21 and older. Make sure to have your ID ready to avoid delays. Food quality is good and the line was kept clean. I prefer going on weekdays for lesser crowd. The banana pudding with whiskey sauce was delightful!!!

Excellent!! I’d given up on all casino buffets due to them ranging from terrible to edible. Island View is outstanding. The Sesame Chicken on the Asian bar is the best I’ve ever eaten. Anywhere!! Fresh Breast meat chicken bites in their delicious sauce. The egg rolls are excellent as well! And I’m a very very picky Chinese food eater. Also these little breaded shrimp were delicious! The rotisserie chicken breast was a bit dry but very tasty. I was looking forward to the creole red beans but they didn’t have them tonight. So next time! I’m so excited to know Island View has brought back delicious food on a buffet. I’ll be coming back.

...I wish they'd have put the buffet on the non smoking side. Smells from the casino overpower the smell of the food, and it just kills my appetite...
