This place is a great local pub just around the corner from the Track. The service and atmosphere are really great, especially the bar which has a nice set-up of smaller tables around a 2-sided fireplace. The food is very good, mostly ‘comfort food’ type selections on the menu. We have been here a couple times; the first, I wasn’t too hungry and just got the mushroom soup and a side salad. The soup was just ok - a bit bitter. The next time i went in, I ordered the fish sandwich and it was really good. Others ordered burgers & a chicken sandwich and they all enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back in several times, I am sure, so would recommend it if you’re considering giving it a try. This place is great. Lots of options. Ambiance is awesome, excellent service. I usually steer away from pork chops in restaurants because I can make at home but the entree here is amazing. Brined and char grilled. My steak knife went right thru with no effort. Not pictured but awesome was the french onion soup. Going back for sure. Our first time at the Brook Tavern and we will definitely be back. We started with the rock shrimp which had a ton of flavor. We ordered the 22oz ribeye which was cooked perfectly. The steak came with whipped garlic potatoes and carrots; all sides were cooked perfectly as well. I got the beer battered fish fry and this was good as well. I wish the batter was a little thicker and crispier, but I was still very good. The housemade tarter was a nice treat. Next time we'll get the skillet cookie for dessert. Always nice to support these local gems! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was so delicious and tasty! They followed order notes and we were all very satisfied with our food choices. If you do come here, you need to order the meatballs, fish & chips and try their burgers! Enjoy!

We had an amazing meal here last night. I had the tuna tartare and my husband had the chicken salad. The drinks were delicious, staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. The lights are low, the seating is cozy and they had a great band, the evidence that plays there regularly. We can’t wait to come back, thank you! Excellent service, it’s a shame we forgot our servers name but he was excellent- super attentive and warm. Good location, off the main drag a bit. Nice atmosphere and good food. Definitely recommend for an easy, nice dinner.

This was a fabulous experience. I dined with a coworker and we shared everything. We ordered the Tavern burger which came with French fries and it was a sumptuous burger, cooked perfectly medium with crispy fries. The Chicken melanese over pasta was delicious. For appetizers we had the boneless chicken which was addictive and the Oysters on the half shell which we the only disappointment of the service. The Oysters were overpriced $40 a doz, for their size and tasteless. Steer clear of the Oysters. A surprise hit was the wonderful dessert, coconut cream pie. We ordered a piece to share but quickly realized we each needed our own pie and ordered another. The server was not attentive and robotic with 'scripted' replies that came across as disingenuous. When the food is this good, a not so great service will not deter a return. I highly recommend stopping by. If you found this review helpful, a like would be appreciated! One of my favorite resturants in Saratoga Springs NY. It is a Resturaunt by saratoga race track. I had a NY strip. Its was perfect. Their oysters are delicious Beautiful patio with view of Saratoga Race track. Service is super accommodating and tentive. They are eager to please their guests. Worth visiting for sure! ❤
