This place is excellent. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was fantastic. And the BBQ was excellent. We have a favorite bbq place in KC that we go to and The Blue Pig is dang close to being as good. We will stop there every time we pass through the area from now on. Highly recommend. We had an amazing lunch at The Blue Pig, and they were so kind & obliging about setting up a table outside so that we could eat outside with our Frenchies! The food was delicious, especially the brisket and sweet potato waffle fries with a hint of sweet cinnamon!!!! YUM!!! I’d go again in a heartbeat!!! We were looking for a good place to have a beer and some BBQ. We came from Celina to give it a shot. This is our new favorite place! Nestled in the downtown area, parking was a little tight, but we found a spot a few places down. It's a perfect location for meal with some boutique shopping. It's remisensient of 7th Street in Fort Worth Texas. The atmosphere was relaxed, soft oldies playing in the background. The dining and bar areas were separate but flowed well. Upon entering, I noticed the gentleman standing at the counter. He was friendly and helpful. He informed us if we needed any help, to please let him know. The board started to order at the counter, or via QR code at the table. We sat down, and my husband went to the bar to order a few drinks. I browsed the online menu, it was very easy to navigate. We ordered our meal and waited approximately 10 minutes, while enjoying a long island iced tea and perfectly chilled Blue Moon on draft. We had a wide selection of items on our order. The pulled pork is peppered, tender, and amazing. The chopped brisket was another simply amazing pick. The sliced brisket was so delicate it melted in my mouth. I had the sweet potato fries with horseradish Alioil. While it was just slightly overcooked, it was still soft and delicious. The cowboy caviar is something I hadn't seen on a menu in years, and surpassed all expectations! Baked beans are something often overlooked, not here! They were done with just the perfect amount of time to ensure they perseved the flavors! The self serve sauce bar was a nice addition. I was hoping to try all 5 flavors, and the individual cups made it possible. My personal favorite is the Garfield. The quality is unheard of in this rushed, fast food world we live in. The wood burning stove, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff made this our new BBQ spot! Really cute place! The two gals up front were so sweet! I should have heeded another reviewer about the food. We wanted to like the meal. The pulled pork was so dry and the “loaded” potato salad was bland as can be! We took a few bites and abandoned it! No flavor at all! Now the Cole slaw was the best part of the meal.
