The service is terrible,seems understaffed and I had difficulty getting a table booking no response on the given number. Eventually a table was arranged after an 1 hour,waiters are slow, waited over 2 hours for a Pizza and had to do some serious chasing around for food and drinks! The music was great though. And please do something about your security outside, my friend was robbed of her cellphone whilst trying to check her ubers number plate,not safe at all,a 2/10 experience for me. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

We came to watch the SA and Scotland rugby game and the the back up generator went off at 65 minutes. I’m was so mad. It’s not like they didn’t know people came to watch the game. This is unacceptable. They didn’t even give us reasons for the inconvenience. Don’t come to The beach to watch games. Additionally, the service is horrific. You will sit for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to assist. There’s not enough waiters and customer service is not at the core of their values. I do not recommend Price per person R 500+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Amazing atmosphere, it does feel like the beach. Great music, different genres. However, we had to sit ourselves down and find the bar as no one attended to us. We initially thought only reservations were waited but later learned all tables should be waited. We finally got a menu at some point and had to chase the waitress around to get our order in. They seem severely understaffed. The food was good, though! Price per person R 100–150 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

The service is extremely slow, it was just bad from when we walked in, had to wait for over 5 minutes for someone to notice us and get a table! Just to get our first drinks a whole 15 minutes wait and it wasn’t even full, there were about 5 tables as they had just opened! I have nothing good to say about it! Orders take ages, waters are not engaged, not available, when you need something you must go look for a waiter as they didn’t come check in from time to time! The last straw, they didn’t have tabasco sauce 😯 oh any hot sauce for the wings!

Garth Taylor's performance was good. The platter for 2 was very average. 6 spring rolls, 6chicken wings,a portion of chips for 1 and a few over fried cocktail viennas,not worth the price we paid. Service was very slow as they only had 2 waitresses on the floor yet there were 6 guys behind the bar. Price per person R 350–400 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Beautiful place. You forget you are in Sandton. Nice service. Nice ambiance. Beautiful music. Was not very happy with the food situation. So the guys doing the grilling are a separate entity from The Beach and you have to go to them to order your food and pay. They dont come to you. Their food though is very nice. We ordered the chisanyama and the periperi wings. Generous servings

A great place to be, they just need to work on air conditioner and equipment seeing that they kept running out of jugs otherwise the vibe was great with very friendly staff. Price per person R 1–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Bikini Platter

Classic decor, incredibly friendly staff and Kim the Marketing manager was awesome. Drinks were fairly priced. It was the perfect venue for my friends birthday. They keep the teens out too, which is really great.
