My girlfriend and I went to The Barrel Room
And had a great experience. This establishment feels like a 1950's speak easy with some contemporary flare and has a great selection at a reasonable price.
Our server Kailey was friendly, and her team recommended a balvenie 12 year. Which was a very smooth scotch out of spey side Scotland (northeast region)
Overall experience was great we did have to move due to the noise level but it is to be expected given the guests present at the time and no fault of the staff who accommodated the situation quickly!
If you haven't tried The Barrel Room. Do!
Maybe we'll see you there!
All the best,
Jonathan

The rose balsamic was incredible! Everything came out fantastic! Make sure “The Wicked Chef” Leesa is in the kitchen cooking when you order!

We sat in the bar and had a great time. The cauliflower bites and pizza was excellent but the bartender Eddie really added to the experience. He made a perfect old fashion and was very friendly. We would definitely come back again

They have brought the Barrel Room menu over to the State 48 side. wonderful idea. And a shout out to the manager. Ever since she took over the food has been spot on!
Man, I REALLY wanted to like this place. There is a fantastic whiskey selection but their cocktails are mediocre. If you just want drinks you’re far better off to go to Tipsy or Bourbon and Bones. For a $15 Mans(hatten) I was very unimpressed. At that price they at least need to have a luxardo cherry instead of the neon maraschino. Hopefully they get things dialed in and improve the drink menu. We didn’t have any food this trip and I probably will go somewhere else for drinks before going back. I love State 48 beer though so maybe we’ll go for beer and food and try again. The atmosphere is great they just need to up their cocktail game.

Very nice ambiance. Excellent service. But… we made the huge error of ordering off of the State 48 restaurant menu. The food was horrid. The pizza sauce was like straight tomato sauce with no spices or seasonings added. The corned beef Ruben sandwich was greasy and soggy. Just awful.
We’ll go back to order off the Barrel Room menu… which is far more limited but a bit more imaginative. The cocktails were pricey and just so-so. Overall… we were disappointed.
