I've heard about Banana Deck for several years and finally decided to give it a try... I'm not happy that I wanted so long because I could have been enjoying the food here during every visit to St. John. I would say definitely give it a try, you won't be disappointed. The host was rude to us for no reason, seated us, and brought us bottled water without asking versus giving us an option. Kirkland bottles $3 per. Food was really overpriced and nothing special. THIS DUMP DESERVES ZERO STARS. Avoid this place!! Ordered wings…OVERDONE. Ordered the Caribbean Lobster and Shrimp Special at $80 and it was awful. Overcooked !! Waiter did not care a biit that I ate none of it. Just took the plate and walked away after recommending this awful meal. Given its cost, this is easily the WORST meal I’ve ever had at any restaurant in the world (and we travel a lot). Please save yourself the misery and visit the many other fine places on St. John but avoid this absolute hole in the wall. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I have eaten at Banana Deck many times and I have always had such a positive experience. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and quick on their toes.
