Was just in there playing a couple games of pool with my little brother since I had an ordered an alcoholic beverage yet the rude bartender says after our game of pool we need to leave. Never in my life have I ever met such a rude woman who bends asking the patrons to leave because we hadn’t ordered a drink yet and we’re playing pool when the bar was dead and only had one other customer in it outrageous. I’ve lived in Ames for 33 years Drink there all the time After that, you won’t be seeing me there again.

what an awful place to go to "have a good time" - the bar staff wants you to leave constantly. they have a karaoke host but they also don't want you to be there. i've never asked a karaoke host if i could sing that said "no!" they must really be sad. Do not got here unless you specifically want to feel bad and have the staff make sure you're sad.

Their back patio area is amazing, awesome staff, and they have great prices. The vibe on any night always seems welcoming!

We had an awesome time here at The Angry Irishman. Great atmosphere with tidy, comfortable outdoor covered seating in the back. Enjoyed some cocktails and karaoke with my youngest daughter on Main Street, Ames, IA. My old stomping grounds although it went by the name of the Flintstone's pet dinosaur back then. 😁

Amazing, bartenders amazingly attentive. They were up to any cocktail request, improvising when they didn't have a certain bottle. They are redoing the restrooms and they are looking wonderful.

A decent dive bar!! I like the Angry Irishmen, or as we call it "Not Deanos" 😁 We've come on a couple of karaoke nights, and it's a good mix of young and old and not a bunch of divas hogging the mic. We like to have fun and sing and encourage others to do the same, and this is a good spot for it. The bartenders are friendly and pour good drinks and are game to try making new things for you. Come and try it out!

Best bartenders in Ames. Deano's always makes you feel like family. Cheapest drinks and best service. Dive bar vibe with great service. Highly recommended.

Really no likes or dislikes about it, the live bands are decent. It's a bar....smaller in overall size, they dont seem to attract as many crazies.
