Out of all the restaurants I have been on Urbana Champaign Savoy area, this is my best. Great food! We tried Crab Rangoon, Papaya Salad, Duck, and other food. All of those were really great! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Recommended dishes Mango Sticky Rice

Popped over for some pad woon sen. Nothing special. Food was all a little overcooked. That really hurts a noodle dish with noodles as delicate as pad woon sen. Portions were fine, menu was broad. They have lunch specials but pad woon sen wasn't on it. Interior was fun. Service was fine. Other customers seemed to be enjoying their meals. Wonder if lunchtime on Tuesday just isn't the best time to stop by. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Most of the ingredients were uncooked !!! Look at the color of the salmon. The mushrooms and all other vegetables uncooked! It came fast but needs to be cooked! Service Dine in Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Will add photos when I go back, cuz trust...this will be a weekly spot for me from now on! The portions are absolutely MASSIVE, everything is FRESH, and the prices are ABSOLUTELY spot on for the two reasons listed prior in this sentence. Best Chicken Pad Thai of my life (#58), best Thai tea of my life, and warm welcoming environment with exceptionally friendly/down to earth staff. Very lucky find on our way home to Virginia. Have enjoyed Thai food for years with wonderful relationships with family owners. Thara provided the finest Thai experience at a most reasonable price. The takeout business we observed while dining there is a testament to it's community support. Portions excellent, seasoning sensational and staff service and preparation an absolute FIND. Thank you Thara Thai! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Soup
Great Thai food in HUGE portions! It's not in the campus area, but it's right off the highway and a perfect place to eat after a long drive. We got 2 noodle dishes and they were both good. If you ask for added heat, beware: they will REALLY spice up the dish. It's cooked exactly as you order. The service was wonderful. We stopped near closing, but the host was very patient taking our order and serving. My only complaint is the prices. They are very very expensive. Much more expensive than most Asian places around campus. Even though we ordered basic noodle dishes, each dish was over $20 after tax. It's a good place for Thai food, but with those prices, I'm not sure if I'll be back. No regrets though; it was worth trying! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Initial thoughts: White people should not be able to rate ethnic cuisines. The high rating does not align with expected high quality Thai cuisine. First thoughts Gai Pad Krapow (ground basil chicken) is not even ground chicken instead finely chopped up chicken. Huge impact in flavor. Drunken noodles are not wide rice noodles instead cheap egg noodles similar to Chinese Lo mein. Overall very disappointing experience (not authentic Thai food) in summary. Price per person $50–100
if you compare the price of this place in another Thai restaurant on campus, this is more expensive, which I was surprised. the portion is huge. the food is amazing. I ordered panang curry with medium heat. later on, my stomach hurt and had to go to the bathroom a lot. when I ate my leftovers the next day, my stomach hurt again. I didn't eat the rest. I've ordered panang curry in other restaurants and I'm used to spiciness. so it was weird that their food is giving me issues. panang curry has coconut milk, maybe the milk was expired 😕 also, when I had to leave I had to go up the counter and pay. the waiter was nowhere to be found. I really like this place because it has interesting decors. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Fried Calamari is absolute chewy garbage. Thai tea is ok but insane for 5.99 Had Drunken Noodles, Rad Na, Pad Prig Fish. Close to Authentic but absolutely not worth the price for the atmosphere and service. Tiny crowded janky restaurant. Slow Service. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
