The food here is AMAZING. The place is local and small, but the menu is quite large. Ate here 2 times, definately will be the third one.
For us it was not only the best food in area but I think the best soup and banh mi we ate in Vietnam.

The spit-roast pork banh mi was amazing, so we went back and had pork, rice and sautéed veges. Their dipping sauce is absolutley amazing. It was one of the best meals we've had in Vietnam!

Amazing amazing amazing! We had 2 exceptional meals here, and were welcomed so warmly both times. It was so good we had to go back for breakfast. The spit roast pork is the best pork I’ve ever eaten, and such good value for money. The family that run the restaurant are so friendly and accommodating, we left with big smiles on our faces. We had Pho Bo, spit roast pork with rice and veggies and the pork baguette. We would definitely go back, I wish I was staying longer! Thanks so much❤️

Quán rất đỉnh món nướng, đặc biệt là bánh mỳ thịt nướng và cơm rang thịt nướng, nên ăn cùng nước chấm "chéo". Thịt tươi và thơm, tẩm ướp vừa vặn, nướng chín tới, da giòn tan. Buổi sáng có cháo canh cá trắm sông Son khá ngọt thịt và thơm, nhưng có thể có xương, nên ăn chậm không sẽ dễ hóc. Anh chị chủ cũng rất hiếu khách và ân cần.
The restaurant has wonderful and fragrant roasted pork, which is definately a highlight in Phong Nha's cuisine. I tried Bánh mỳ (Vietnamese bread), Cơm rang (Stir-fried rice with mixed topping), Bún trộn (Noodles), all with the roasted pork with extra "chéo" sauce and some chilli oil to taste. They were absolutely delicious. The pork crackling was yum and crispy, the meat was really tender and juicy. I came back in a morning for a bowl of Cháo canh cá trắm sông Son (Son river grass carp noodles), and the fish was so delicate, with flavourful taste from the broth. However, the fish was left with some bones (that's how it was supposed to be cooked in the traditional way), eaters should be careful and chew slowly to avoid choking on the bones.

We stayed in Phong nah for 5 days and we came to eat there every day (and sometimes twice a day..)
Every dish with the bbq pork is really good, especially the soup which was delicious! We’ve also enjoyed the bahn mi and the fried rice a lot. The prices are also really cheap, local food prices. But the best part of the place was the family who runs it. They were so nice! Always welcomed us with a smile, and after a few visits sat with us and talk to us (despite the language barrier). We really felt like a part of this sweet family, and recommend everyone who is in Phong nah to visit their place, have some delicious food and join the family :)
