Came here for the first time and was highly disappointed. I had to throw the whole plate in the garbage. The ribs were dried out as in days old. The brisket and turkey had absolutely no flavor, they taste as if they were boiled in water. Nothing tasted like actual bbq. The owner should be made aware of this. I hate I did not read the reviews before coming. This is unacceptable.

I loved everything except the ribs. The tasty BBQ sauce helped it, but I hate rubbery ribs. When I say everything else was a 9/10 (peach cobbler was the only 9)
I was very impressed and will definitely be back for the moist chopped beef.

I had ordered here before, getting brisket, so this time I ordered the 4 meat plate. What I got was a half empty container with 3 measly pieces of brisket, 2 overcooked ribs and a small portion of pulled pork (which i had ordered 2 portions of). For the money, I was incredibly disappointed.

Good barbecue isn't about bells whistles, shiny mascots, overly done hype, or any of that. It's about good solid barbecue cooked well and with care.
This place isn't anything fancy but you don't need that. Sit down, get you a nice plate of brisket, and maybe some sausage, a little bit of sauce that's a little sweet, a little bit spicy. Say your yes ma'ams and yessirs and enjoy. This food is so well cooked that I can't even put it into words properly. The meat is tender and high quality with no excess grease. The green beans are lightly salted with a little pepper. The candied yams are sweet and hearty without just being a bucket of sugar.
I would say it's like mom cooks, but she doesn't make bar b q this good, but eating here made me feel at home. The staff was very friendly and full of authentic smiles that only comes from people who enjoy their job and they are very proud of Mr. Teague.

Local family owned small business in strip center off Spring Steubner/Rossville that I've come to love. Haven't tried the ribs or sausage yet, as the lean brisket and turkey are my family's go-tos. But... THE SIDES... best collard greens in area, fried okra, candied yams, baked beans, and pineapple pudding all on point. A 2 meat plate comes with 2 individual sides... we add a small side and 2 desserts and it easily feeds wife and I. Yum. Great job Teague family.

I wanted to love this BBQ as reviews for this place are so good.
Maybe I was there on an off day but my meat was just really dry. There wasn’t enough sauce to moistened up the meat with my to-go order.
The sides that I had with my brisket and Turkey plate was the Cole slaw and sweet potatoes, which were good. The cornbread was ok but again, on the dry side.
The baked potato was HUGE and good but still not enough sauce with the dry brisket.
The pineapple dessert was much like those fluff desserts so I’m not sure it was worth the price, but the peach cobbler was amazing. I will go back just for that!

Brisket was juicy, sauce had great flavor. The greens were fantastic! Jalapeno corn bread packed some flavor too. Customer service makes you feel at home. I'll be back!
