The food was good, but not outstanding. They seem to have a very weird ordering system whereby only the "boss" can take a main course order, which meant we waited for almost 35 minutes for them to take our main course and starter order (although the waiters were trusted to take our drinks order). The food did arrive pretty quickly, but was unremarkable - there was nothing wrong with it, but nothing special.
The atmosphere wasn't great mainly because the waiters (who were very nice) seemed to be embarrassed by having to tell us multiple times they couldn't take our order while we waited for "the boss". It felt to us demeaning for the two waiters not to be trusted to take a main course order, which really ruined the atmosphere for us. The boss himself seemed a little tense and made reference to it being a "crazy night" although the place was half empty. We asked for a well done steak and received what was probably a medium rare (photo attached), so why we had to wait almost 35 minutes for the one apparently qualified person who couldn't get a simple order right is a mystery. Overall, one of the most disappointing dinner experiences we've had in 15 years in Alvor.

Wow! Fish of the day was so fresh and delicious! Service super kindly! And the calamari was delicious too. Very cheap for that all. We are coming again!
Our experience was not a big deal. Maybe the food chosen was not the best choice. Nevertheless, the staff is very helpful and polite. We asked for the cataplana de peixe, it has a lot of fish, of the same kind of fish. Other options look good. Maybe next time we will order a different thing.

Great place for a dinner in Alvor. Quick friendly service and excellent fish (opted for 'fish of the day' which was sea bass). Also very reasonably priced!

Not the first time there, but went many moons ago. Our recent visit was lush. Early dinner as our flight home was very early thr following day, but can't fault it. Clams to start to share, followed by fish fillets, rice, chips & salad and a lush bottle of house red. High recommend. Very friendly and defo will be visiting again in October. Great job guys. Keep up the good work. Love & peace.
