I love the food here. However, the first-come, first-served seating policy creates animosity among customers. When I was there yesterday a woman was taking two seats for herself - one for her bag, and one for herself at the bar. I asked if she was expecting anyone and she was visibly annoyed with me for asking and begrudgingly moved it so I could sit.
More than once I see people not eating or even sipping coffee, and taking up seats while working on their laptops, not leaving room for would-be customers. I've left to go elsewhere.
I'm also guessing this policy doesn't work so well for people with mobility issues. I would never take my aging family members here because getting a seat that they can use (ie not a stool at the bar) is not a guarantee.
Again, I love the food and the people who work here, but the seating situation is a problem and a frequent blocker.
