This was one my first and best experiences eating at a Liberian restaurant in Minnesota. The cassava leaf and rice was excellent! The pepper sauce was amazing, the host and hostess made me and my cousins feel so loved and welcomed. I recommend coming here all the time. You won’t be disappointed! Visiting from North Carolina! I ordered the Attieke and fried fish and man o man! The taste reminded me of back home in Liberia. The hospitality was loving. I enjoyed myself very much!

This resturant is a home away from home. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Me, my husband and daughter visited this place and receive great customer service. My daughter who is a picky eater said the food was delicious. If you want authentic african food go visit this restaurant you will not regret. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. If you don't like spicy food, don't order from this place. I don't recommend it for children either it's very hot and spicy. I didn't like the smell when I walked in. It smelled old and moldy. The best Jollof rice in MN !! Tried many restaurants always disappointed when it comes to jollof rice. I was so happy when they let me try the jollof before I bought it and of course they did their thing !! Authentic African food ! ❤️❤️😫😋 Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Hearty portions of delicious food in this casual family restaurant. Nice variety on the menu and friendly service. I enjoyed the cassava leaf stew and jollof rice (which comes with fried chicken). My only feedback would be that having a TV and radio going makes it hard to relax. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

This is a very busy spot in the heart of Brooklyn Park and the food and staff is top notch. They feature a variety of African cuisine, especially Liberian. They have cassava leaf, potatoes greens, palava sauce, attieke and fish, palava sauce, groundpea candy, coconut candy, and more.

I love going here. I'm from Florida and I have recently found out quickly that I LOVE African food. However, the only place I will go to is Taste of Africa in Brooklyn Center. I love dining in, but this place just has an essence about it even though the decor could use some updating. Still, the service, THE FOOD...EXCELLENT! I was in the area for work and decided to go find a place to eat for lunch. Googled African cuisine near by and this place came up. The owner is very friendly, respectful and above all the food is delicious. I will be driving all the way back to Minneapolis this coming weekend from Wisconsin to get some food and takeout!!
