There is not only beach in Koh Samui! You can enjoy nature, peaceful and nice Thai food in Tara Bistro. The room is big, comfortable and very suitable for family or couple. There are many things you can explore in the resort. It’s also convenient to go to the beach from the resort. Nice place to relax and recharge mentally. Great new dining venue only recently opened. We had a really nice lunch sitting in the garden. Such a lovely property, a few streams flowing through, and lovely gardens to explore. Food was great, service was attentive. They have their own prawn farm - so be sure to try some of their numerous tasty prawn dishes. Open lunch and dinner. Well worth the visit. Update: Went back again - had another delicious lunch in a lovely setting. Can't go wrong here.

A hidden gem. Exotic environment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were told that the restaurant was specialized in crab and prawns as the resort owner owned an organic farm for those goodies. The dishes were original in the island. Very tasty. Absolutely amazing dining experience. This place is a gem. Was there with a party of 4 on 13 September for dinner. When given the address, the taxi driver wasn’t sure of the location but of course we had google map’s help. It didn’t help the driver when the final stretch of road to the restaurant was in pitch darkness!! Nevertheless we made it and it was very well worth the effort. We had a fantastic meal at very reasonable price. The prawns are their specialty as the farm belongs to the owner. I understand the owner also owns a durian plantation but unfortunately we went there on off season. Back to the food. Don’t forget their fried papaya salad . Yes, fried! The ladies in my party went crazy over it. It’s the only place so far where they fried the papaya. A must when ordering your food. The food and service was so good we returned for an encore on the 18th before leaving Samui. The place is brand new and together with this unique restaurant they have 16 2-room villas nestled in the greenery with a river stream running thru. It’s quite therapeutic listening to the flowing waters and birds up there. The villas are even fitted with jacuzzi baths!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿500–600

Tara Bistro restaurant in Koh Samui is not to be missed if you love excellent quality and flavoursome Thai food. They have an upmarket menu with great value prices. The beef massaman curry has exquisite delicate flavour, it was truly incredible. The prawns were beautifully presented and fresh in flavour. We also loved the banana fritters for dessert. Tara bistro is set in a lush beautiful rainforest setting with a lovely ambience. We highly recommend Tara Bistro. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ฿200–300

It is a secluded resort in the forest, where you can enjoy great Thai food, play mini golf, and stay in the hotel. We came here for lunch after the Magic Garden. An outstanding restaurant. Lovely setting in the hills and a very relaxed atmosphere. We ordered Fried Shrimp Cake, Salmon Steak, Garlic Prawns with Pepper Sauce and Prawn Phad Thai. It's not a fancy place like in those five star hotel, but the food tastes like in a gourmet restaurant. Price is reasonable in my opinion. I recommend the Mussamunbeef and sticky rice with mango! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿400–500 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
