This place is an absolute gem! Super nice people running this little taco restaurant. Limited menu but with good reason. Everything on it is Bangin!!!! The Nacatamal just became one of my favorite things in the world. All the tacos I’ve tried so far were great. Also veggie option if that’s your thing.

We both ordered the fish tacos and they were the best tacos either of us have had. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. Takes great pride in his food, cleanliness and the service provided.

Must visit while in Popoyo! We found this spot on google maps and were not disappointed - low-key family run restaurant making delicious, homemade food which is good value for money. 180 cordobas per plate with three generously filled tacos, turmeric rice, avocado-based green sauce and a tomato chilli salsa. We tried the pork, chicken and veggie tacos and loved them all. Excellent friendly service. Definitely worth the short drive from the beach!

Not just some of the best food I’ve had in Rivas/Popoyo, but the best tacos I’ve had in Central America or Mexico. No lie, go there and try for yourself! I went twice this week!

Taqueria Ozgal in Popoyo is a true culinary delight! My wife and I had the pleasure of sampling their tacos El Pastor and fish tacos, and we were absolutely blown away by the flavors and quality of the food.

As soon as we walked up Yordan greeted us & made us feel welcome/ at home. Verbally told us what was on the menu this evening. Every ingredient was made fresh & with love. We also had homemade hibiscus tea that came with our dinner and it was delicious.

Delicious tacos with scrumptious salsa, and great service! The food came out so much faster than most Nicaraguan restaurants. Our kids, who are picky eaters, loved the tacos as well! Highly recommend!!!
