Delicious and affordable food, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly wait staff... What more could you ask for? I couldn't decide between a salad or a gyro then I saw The Sultan sandwich on the menu. Today was my first time at Tangiers and I’ll definitely be back. The food was delicious and the gyro meat on my salad was more generous than I’d expected it to be. Our waitress was really attentive and explained everything very well. (I wish id said Yes to the baklava.) I gave atmosphere 4 ⭐️ to begin with because it’s not super fancy - but then I thought - it’s exactly what I’d hope for when I go out for a casual lunch. I love the color. The gyro just tasted like mayo covered meat with little else happening. It was gross. This restaurant is extremely hit or miss. Fantastic when its made well and disgusting about half the time. Cute place with a small shop with spices, teas and knick knacks. It got pretty busy for a Monday night and even though our server, Angelina, was the only person hosting and serving, she was very kind and attentive. Chef Fernando was the only one in the kitchen too, food was great and the wait wasn’t bad at all despite getting busy. The prices are very reasonable as well. My husband and I had a glorious experience here. The food is amazing and as close to the Mediterranean experience as you can get. We will be going back again. Ps we bought their lemon tea and baklava to take home. I don't say this often but we are very pleased all around with our experiences here.
