From my experience, I enjoy Thai food here the most. The taste is delicious and delightful. The staff warmly welcomes me and takes good care of me, always with a smile on their faces. The atmosphere in Takola is good, comfortable, clean, and beautiful. I highly recommend: - Moo Hong is absolutely good and authentic. It has a sweet and salty taste, and the pork is very tender and juicy. - Nam Prik Takola is delicious. You should eat it with the vegetables served on the plate, and it becomes even more delightful when paired with salt and garlic pork belly. - Stir-fried prawns with Kapi shrimp sauce - Gaeng Pu Bai Cha-Phlu with Crabmeat is a curry dish that combines the sweetness of crab with the flavor of cha plu leaves. - Grilled Satay Skewers - Tom Yum with prawns has bold, sour, and spicy flavors. - Deep Fried Crispy Spring Roll For desserts: - Bua Loy has a sweet taste from coconut milk and a slightly chewy texture of rice flour dumplings. - Coconut Ice Cream Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I love the buffet line at Takola. They have everything from American style food to Thai breakfast menu, and even acai healthy bowls. The food is always fresh, so you can be sure that you're getting quality. The juices are so refreshing, and the coffee is perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the morning. The atmosphere is always inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
The food was simply amazing. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was cooked to perfection. Each dish was flavorful and well-balanced. I especially enjoyed their southern dish, the Geang leaung pla with sea bass. It was so flavorful and savory, and I could definitely taste the freshness of the ingredients. The service was outstanding. They brought out the food in a timely manner and even checked in to make sure we were happy with the meal. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
A bit expensive but worth it. All food was very good and I can especially recommend the apetizer Ma Hor. Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
Overrated and disappointing. I had such high hopes which were gradually dashed as I sat through lunch here. The southern Thai dishes were just passable, lacking the authentic, hard-hitting flavors associated with this cuisine. Every dish seemed to have been toned down so everything emerged as mild. People who want really good southern Thai food are better off going somewhere local in Khao Lak. As for the service, this started off promising, with a lead waitress doing upsell and explaining the dishes. This being billed as a wine bar, so I ordered a bottle of white wine. The waiter returned and said the bottle was not chilled and asked if I would like to order another label instead. I asked him to put the bottle I wanted in the freezer for a few minutes to speed up the chilling. He acknowledged and went. Then the waitress came and said they were sold out. What? This kind of wrong information was simply unacceptable in an ostensibly high-end restaurant. It did lower my regard of the place considerably. The food was terrible. The ‘authentic Thai prawns’ were comically prawns with mash potato heads to look like chickens. I’m not sure how this restaurant is in business, but it is one of the worst meals I’ve had in Thailand. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿1,000+ Food: 1 Service: 1

I'm not sure how the restaurant earn its michilin's guide. We oredered "moohong" suppose to be good recomended dish. Turned out super disappointing, the pork was way too tough and dry, was not stewed properly. The taste was also really bland. It was really bad, the worst moohong we had in the southern area. Think twice before you dine here. The staff were really nice. But the food is ... really does not justify it the visit.

Food is OK but their service is very disappoint. They served many food but they did not provide a plate. Maybe we have to use hand to eat. Are they really 5 stars hotel?
Was really surprised to have such a service and food in a restaurant listed in Micheline. The ambiance follows the hotel style, which is nice and cozy. Starters were really promising, but it’s all ended there… First, one of the orders has been miss-placed (shrimps instead of pork is rather a big difference), having “boiled rice” with the actual water it was boiled in is rather a dramatic decision as well. The soup from the seasonal menu totally killed it though - not sure if the fish’ was to fat/oily which didn’t go along with the spices or the fish just wasn’t fresh - but it was uneatable and caused stomach problems for next few days. During the evening no one bothered to remove the used plates from the table (which where empty or clearly indicating they have to be moved). The stuff was trying to be nice, but that’s not what makes the service remarkable. At the end, even the card terminal wasn’t working… At the end of the day - I’d avoid - there are many authentic Thai places around (both urban and high end) that deliver better Dodd and experience… Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
