Picked a catering order of maklouba from here. It was very good. Felt like comfort food. Even my picky kids loves it! And the quantity was so much. They said each tray feeds 4 but it easily fed 7 people. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was referred to this restaurant by a friend of mine, and I was looking for catering options for an event. For some context, I work for the Zakat Foundation of America, and we just had a grand opening event in Long Island. From the moment your tongue touches their food, it's clear that you're about to experience something extraordinary. I must say, they exceeded every expectation with flying colors. The entire process was seamless, from the initial consultation where we were met with attentive ears and creative suggestions, to the punctual delivery of wonderfully presented, mouthwatering cuisine. The team at Taheni executes catering at its finest, ensuring that your event is not just catered but curated with care and expertise. The star of the event was, undeniably, the food. Each dish spoke volumes of the skilled chefs behind them, with flavors that danced harmoniously on the palate. Their attention to detail was impeccable - fresh, locally-sourced ingredients were transformed into beautiful plates of culinary art. The menu boasted a diverse range of options, accommodating every dietary need without compromising on taste or presentation. If you haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing Taheni yet, please get on it ASAP! Whether it’s for catering or an event, or just taking out for lunch, you will NOT be disappointed. As this was my first visit, I asked what they recommended... The grilled cheese pita burger was amazing! They make the buns fresh in house. Excellent. I got it with the extra patty, and spicy. Good choice! The Zatar fries have an amazing seasoning. The jalapeno poppers were great. And the fried halloumi cheese was delicious. Well done. Will dine again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Seriously good food here. I'm Middle Eastern so for me to taste these things and have it feel like home is wonderful. I got the chicken shwarma, kofta shwarma, zatar fries and the greek fries, and baba ganoush with my partner. You know they care about the food. The shwarma was tightly wrapped, the fries tossed not topped with seasonings, and their pita was fantastic. Try their hibiscus tea, by the way. I do hope they continue to evolve the interior so there's more comfortable/approachable seating. The wall not pictured is painted concrete, making it look very unfinished. I ate in and it was fine, but it could use a little more love as time goes on. Its well on its way to being polished so don't discredit them for their appearance. This is such a great little mom and pop shop that I have always wanted to try. The venue is adorable with a pastel wooded wall that is very comforting and pretty light fixtures. The staff is very informative and were kind to my partner and I while ordering and asking questions. The prices were also very reasonable. Finally the food! I ordered the falafel build your own pita and it was amazing! It tasted like a healthy and vegan crunch wrap supreme from tacobell! Also the baklava milkshake was one of the best milkshakes I have ever had in my entire life! I was still thinking about it the next day. I highly recommend this place! A wholesome, fresh eatery serving up shawarma, burgers, fries and shakes. We tried the Angus Beef Burger which featured a unique and fluffy pita bun and juicy Angus beef. The Zaatar fries were tossed in spice and crispy start to finish. The Baklava shake had the perfect sweetness and unlike what we had expected, with a Desi-esque flavor featuring pistachios. From the service to the decor and food, we felt Taheni nailed their Mediterranean eatery concept and we're looking forward to chowing down again.
I am a vegetarian and a very snooty vegetarian at that. I am a very good cook who works very well with flavors and spices. And so I can say this. This Palestinian dive has some of the best Mediterranean dishes....in New York. Most places and people have no idea at all on how to make soft and well cooked falafel. But I got a falafel platter with mujhadara ( lentil rice) and tabouleh. For sides I chose babaganoush and hummus. Got their tatziki and housemade hot sauce. On the side was one fresh homemade pita. Us got a sweet hibiscus cold tea. Every single thing was out of the ballpark fantastic. Flavors, spice, ingredients just perfectly balanced. I hardly ever go back to the same restaurant.....but this one.....I intend to go again and again. Can't wait for my son to come back from college so that I can bring him here for some delicious Palestinian food.🙏

Finally found a great local Mediterranean food spot!! You can tell it's family owned when you walk in and the taste of the food shows. They have it set up in a modern way, you can order on a touch screen kiosk where you can customize everything so your order is 100% right i got the lamb platter and the falafel platter along with hummus 😋 and for desert the kanafeh which was 💣 this is my new go too and a must try for everyone! Pricing is extremely reasonable seriously and great portions!
