I'm a taco connoisseur and go out of my way to visit different taco stands. Tacos - El Misshoo recently popped up on my radar on my route home. It occupies a small corner of sidewalk just off the street. CVS sits in the same area and offers plenty of parking. Food: 3 Stars Flavor wise, the meat was fairly tasteless. I ordered Pastor and didn't pick up much flavor at all beyond the condiments that I used. The biggest thing for me was the two salsa selections, green and red. The spice levels were non-existent. As a firm believer in salsa, this rustled my jimmies. Price: 2 Stars It's definitely more on the expensive side. 8 Tacos of which 2 were asada and 6 were pastor costs $24, which comes out to 3$ per taco. I'm not sure if other meats are different prices. Information: 2 Stars They had one sign posted up of the different things you could order, but no prices or types of meat. Items Offered: 3.5 Stars Tacos Quesatacos Quesadillas Papas Rellenas Burritos Mulitas Tortas Wait Times: 4.5 Stars I got lucky and arrived just after someone left. I was the only person there. I got my 8 tacos in about 5 minutes. A lot more people arrived after me, so I can't say what their wait was like. There was only one person cooking food while another took orders. Ease of Ordering: 3.5 Stars The two gentleman manning the stand didn't speak much English at all, but I didn't have any trouble ordering food. I tried to communicate with them that I'd like to add them to google maps, which they had a hard time understanding. No worries, Google Translate always comes clutch for moments like this (it's 2023 people, download the app on your phone and save yourself time). Cleanliness/Organization: 4 Stars They had an organized toppings bar. The table was clean and didn't have any spilled condiments or sauce. I didn't see a trash can, napkins or hand sanitizer (though I didn't look). Seating: 1 Star 1 point for the fact they only had one lonely and sad seat out. Either take your tacos to go, or sit on the inside curb at CVS and enjoy your meal. Lighting: 3 Stars The lighting around the stand was superb, but walk a few feet beyond it and you're quickly at the mercy of whatever light the moon offers as well as the street lamps across the street. Ambience: 5 Stars I dig the ambience. Literally on the sidewalk off the street. You stop by, order your food, and get you and your drunk friends home (hopefully you're the DD). Sound: 3.5 Stars They had a small generator powering everything. It wasn't that loud, but wasn't that quiet either. Friendliness: 5 Stars I like the server and the chef. Cool guys who're trying to make an honest living serving hungry people. They tried to communicate with me the best they can. Grease: 2 Stars I ordered Al Pastor, I know it's supposed to be greasy. I just didn't expect the entire bottom of my plate to be swimming in a thicc layer of it. Toppings Selection: 2 Stars They didn't have many toppings. Red & Green Salsa, Red onion slices & diced white onion, cilantro, cucumber slices & lemons. Meat: 4.5 Stars While the tacos cost $3, the amount of meat was commensurate. They DID NOT Skimp out on meat. There was more meat on my tacos than there was corn tortillas. I ordered Pastor and they had meat on a vertical spit spinning around a vertical flame broiler. Drinks: 3 Stars They had a small cooler with your standard selection of canned drinks. The lid was left open. I didn't see any ice in there, but I suspect they were cool enough. You could also easily drive down the street to the 7/11 if you're really craving a cold beverage. Impression: 3.5 Stars It's a new place. Give them time and they will get better. I hope to revise my rating to a higher one soon on subsequent visits.
