About
Taberna do Largo is a small, unassuming restaurant located in the heart of Porto. It is a great place to enjoy a casual dinner and a glass of wine. The food is simple but delicious and the selection of local cheeses and meats is outstanding. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and can help you choose the right wine for your meal. The prices are also very reasonable, with a light dinner for two costing just €40. If you're looking for an authentic Portuguese dining experience, then Taberna do Largo is definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely delicious! This was the last dinner my friend and I had in Europe after backpacking for a month. We ordered the octopus salad, blood sausage, traditional Portuguese sausage, and some other tapas. Along with some red wine for dinner and port wine for dessert. The server also let us try the 20 year aged port. The texture and honey flavor of the wine brings it to a brand new level. The blood sausage was extremely rich and has a great depth of flavor. Pairing both the sausages with a dry red brings a great compliment to the dishes and the overall dining experience. I highly recommend the food along with the excellent wait staff. Good quality of food and big variety of wines. Service staff was efficient but a little confused at times. Worth a visit. Service Dine in Price per person €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Everything contributed to a great experience: food, wine, service and live music in the square. Go for the cheese and charcuterie board, you’ll love it! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cheese & Meat Platter

We were lucky to get a table as it was quite busy. Interesting little place serving tapas style food. The menu is quite short with set selections for two to choose from. Very easy to decide and great value as the menu included two glasses of wine and port at the end also. We chose a set for €45 and it was a meat & cheese board, cod salad dish and chorizo sausages. We couldn't finish it all. We ordered a bottle of wine also and the bill came to €61. An absolute bargain. The staff are friendly and there's a really cool vibe here. I think there were locals eating here which is always a good sign. Tasty food and great service. A must visit. The staff is so nice. We ate 2 dishes that octopus salad and sauted mushroom. And we ate two glasses of port wine the staff recommended. It was so nice as well. I recommend if you want to have a snack with beer or wine.
Five stars all round, the Portuguese sausage was great, didn't think I'd like it but glad I tried it. Also liked the fact the owner gave us some of his time, lovely guy... Highly recommend this place if you can get in! 👍 Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Portuguese Sausage

Tapas on a lively street. There weren’t a large selection of tapas and they were rather small in portion, but the flavours were still there. Baked cheese with honey was delicious on a chilly night. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €15–20
We asked for fresh orange juice and got lemonade, because “we don’t have orange juice at the moment”. I thought usually they suggest you a substitution, not just bring it by default. The octopus salad was terrible - almost impossible to chew. Shrimp was quite ordinary and not a lot, so was tomato/cheese/basil toast. The wine and the bread was really good though😃 Can never get those wrong, right? Probably that’s why the rating was so high. One dish the waiter completely forgot about. I think he didn’t speak English very well, so keep that in mind when ordering. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–25 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

I don't usually give this low a rating but think it's justified in this case as the service is absolutely terrible. We ordered the seasoned quail eggs, sardine pate, sandwich, blood sausage with caramelize apples, and shrimp. The quail eggs and pate came out first, after about 40 minutes. There was no seasoning on the quail eggs except parsley and olive oil which made the eggs well cooked but bland. The sardine pate was okay. The sandwich was Iberian ham and cheese which was again okay. The blood sausage with caramelized onions and apples was pretty good but not sure if it was worth a 1.15 hr wait. We didn't even get the shrimp because it was never written down in the order even though we pointed it out twice. We got the port wine tasting as well and flies landed in the wine almost immediately. Even by European standards, the service was very very slow. The food was not bad but the service and wait was 100% not worth it especially because we were the only people in here at one point and still were never served until after other guests started coming in
