I have heard about this place for years. I don't live in the area so haven't had the time to get there. Yesterday we had other things to do in that town. So i told my Wife while we are up we need to try TJ Rockwells for the first time. Wow!!! I am so glad we did. Absolutely no complaints from anyone in our group. This place was absolutely packed when we arrived walked in and got a seat right away no wait. Our server was absolutely awesome, appetizers amazing, meals amazing. Oh we will be back for sure. First visit after renovation to bar and entrance. Gave a military discount (only to one of 3 entrees, and the cheapest one, not mine.) No senior discount available. Rhino fries were warm, not hot, and the chunks of bacon in the past have been replaced by much smaller, chopped pieces which I had to ask if they were actually present. Will not order again. Server was conscientious, didn't like being placed in the larger side room (could have asked for the main room off bar, as my 2 companions had problems with the stairs. Meals were good, but with tip, appetizer, 3 drinks and 3 entrees, we got out for around $90. We've been here many times and this time was bad enough to make us not come for a while. Sat a bar table. Which is totally fine and we actually enjoyed that area. No refills after cups empty for 30 min. Food took almost an hour. We were told it was "lost". Pretty sure the waiter forgot to put it in the order. My pasta was watery. Fajitas chicken was gummy. None of the food was actually hot. We loved this place which is why we went. This was the worst experience for us. Our bill was over a hundred dollars and I'm sick that i spent that and none of us even finished. Rhino fries were dry too. Almost like they sat under the warming lamp too long.
