Came for a business lunch and everything was perfect. They started with a nice little amuse bouche of parsley purée. I tried the sorrel soup, and it was fantastic. Beautiful broth that they pour over at the table. The seasonal mackerel was nicely cooked and all of the sides were excellent. Everyone else seemed impressed as well. Really tasty food that maybe consider standard plates but with a combination of flavours that will impress you. Staff was so nice and perfect English. They have style even on the bathroom that by the way was spotless difficult to find some times even in expensive places. Torun seems to have a couple of hidden culinary gems. Szeroka 9 is one of them. Located in the heart of the city in the main pedestrian street it is quite hard to miss. The menu is carefully done, few options but all of them are great. Playful combinations of local and international flavours with surprising results. The service is very professional and meets the higher standards. Waiters are knowledgeable and helpful avoiding too much interaction unless needed.
