Incredible dining experience! Alyssa was an excellent server and provided us with great recommendations. The Kabocha squash bisque is one of the best soups I've ever had and my NY strip was cooked perfectly. Complements to the chef and his staff! My husband and I came to Swens for Christmas dinner and couldn’t have enjoyed our experience more! We both got the Christmas special which was a filet mignon with lobster on top. Truly I might have to say it was the best filet I’ve ever had. It was so delicious and savory! Our waiter was friendly, attentive, kind and quick. Music, lights, tables and chairs were all comfortable leading to a very memorable Christmas meal! Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very nice service with some amazing views and delicious delicious food! Would highly recommend to anyone Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Honestly, based on the reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good (my duck had an excellent smoked flavor). Server was great and the restaurant setting was beautiful. My biggest issue with it? The COFFEE. We ordered two Americanos to go with our dessert, and it was truly horrible. I could tell by looking at it, it was the weakest brew I’ve ever seen. I know that seems like quibbling, but at $8, that was super annoying. Also, take a note from Will Guedara’s “Unreasonable Hospitality,” don’t let the coffee at dessert ruin an otherwise good experience. This is billed as a fine dining establishment, and you should care about every detail. Also… that goes for cocktails as well (you can tell they don’t care cos they were still offering summer cocktails and it was late November 😝) BUT I’ve come to expect this of Utah in general so… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Swen's is a mixed bag, and kind of pricey given the overall package. The space itself is certainly impressive, with great views and a classy ambience. The service is lacking for the price-point. I dined here during the summer off-season, and couldn't say whether the winter staffing is better, but it felt like our servers were random hotel personnel who were asked to be waiters, rather than fine-dining professionals. Nothing terrible, but also not what you expect at a $100+ per person restaurant. The cuisine was mostly disappointing. Had the Caesar salad to start and that was fine. The $110 "28-day dry aged prime Kansas City strip steak," however looked and tasted exactly like a regular old USDA choice cut - definitely not aged at all, very sparse marbling and a bunch of gristle. This was tragic. It was served with a pile of undressed lettuce. Possibly worse were the french fries with truffle aioli, which were halfway cooked at best and served without the aioli (not even ketchup was provided...). Giving credit where credit is due, the elk loin was very good, and I'd recommend that. Anyway, I am hoping this experience can be chalked up to the slow off-season, but did not ultimately enjoy the $400+ experience for what was supposed to be an fancy night out. Epitome of bilking customers because they can in classic ski town fashion. $24 for “everything bagel salmon lox sandwich” that was a cold plain bagel straight out of a plastic bag from the store and one thin layer of lox. Waitress didn’t refill our coffee and was slow to come to the table even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Failed to give us the correct receipt; I had to ask for the merchant copy to sign. Don’t go here if you value your money or time. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

After a super fun day spring cross country skiing at Alta, we had a drink at the Snow Pine hotel at the bar the Gulch and then had an early dinner at Swen‘s. Loved the view, service and food was incredible! This is one of my new favorites. Everybody you gotta come up the canyon and get here! You won’t be disappointed. We had the pork chop, mountain trout and roasted carrots as well as the winter kale salad. Unbelievable!
