The Swakopmund Hofbrauhaus is a German-style restaurant located in the center of Swakopmund. The restaurant is located within a beautiful "brauhaus"-styled building and the interior is decorated with interesting German memorabilia. Being a beer lover, I was a bit disappointed in the beer selection. With "Hofbrauhaus" in the name, I expected a wide variety of German and local beers. However, the choice was rather limited, and the on-tap options were scarce. It didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the iconic name. On a more positive note, the food menu had a nice selection of dishes, and every item we tried was tasty. I was a bit disappointed with the service as well, as it was a bit lacklustre, and there was almost no atmosphere what so ever. Overall, the food and my fond memories of the Hofbrauhaus saved the day. I hope they make some improvements, as things change with time, and this used to be a go-to restaurant for me.

Wiener Schnitzel
The popular place to go for typical German fare and atmosphere. If you don't like German food or want to try it, don't go. You end up feeling quite filled given the beer and large portions.

Absolutely excellent food and service! Good was exceptionally tasty! Enjoyed Smokey BBQ wings and a decadent beef burger with an addition of pulled pork which was unbelievable. We would love to return as we loved the vibe and trendy setting with open kitchen and a fantastic meat selection. Beer is awesome as their craft .. an absolute must to visit!
A nice venue but the food is overrated and overpriced. Service was good, but typical German, not overly friendly but not bad. Very much a local spot, prying on tourists.

A German Brauhaus in Swakop, with great food, atmosphere and service.. the pork with mash is excellent and, of course the beer. If you feel like some German cuisine , you won't be disappointed. in the middle of Swakop, walking distance from hotels.. its a must visit if traveling to Swakop
