An absolute escape from everything. Delicious food, of course, but honestly want to say how much we enjoy the ambience. Not blasting loud music, but either jazz/ easy listening, allows one to eat in peace! Truly zen-ful :) Please don't ever change! My favorite sushi place here in Dallas! Bento boxes are excellent and the pricing is great- most affordable I’ve seen around here for what you get. Always very friendly. Usually it has a pretty steady and busy crowd…expect a short wait on peak times/weekends. The tuna tower is also delish! I used to be a regular at Sushi Zen, visiting once a week because they once had decent-quality sushi that I enjoyed. However, I'm sad to say that my recent experiences have been far from pleasant. Let's start with the service – the host's behavior was nothing short of rude. A welcoming atmosphere is crucial in any restaurant, and it's disheartening to see this aspect fall short. Now, onto the most crucial part – the food. I was shocked to find that the sushi, which used to be fresh and delightful, has taken a nosedive in quality. The provided picture speaks volumes - the sushi didn't look appetizing, and the fishy smell was a clear sign of its age. Freshness is paramount when it comes to sushi, and this was a letdown. Sushi Zen, you used to be a go-to spot for me, but I'm sad to say that I won't be returning anytime soon. It's essential to maintain the standards that initially drew customers in. I hope Sushi Zen takes these concerns to heart and works towards a revival in quality and service. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I've been to a fair number of sushi places before but this place is one of the best I've had in recent years. The place was packed Sunday night but despite that we were seated at the bar rapidly and our order was taken soon after. The sushi was INCREDIBLE- fresh, full flavors, and beautifully presented. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Definitely not the best sushi / sashimi I have ever had, but still decent. Very packed during lunch time (weekdays). Staffs are very friendly, and portion wise is satisfying. Salmon sashimi wasn’t that fresh when I had it. Rice on sushi was too gooey. But the rest of it was still fine. Probably the best sushi place in Southlake Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Sushi and Sashimi Dinner Bento
Best sushi in south lake / grapevine area! Staff was wonderful. Felt authentic Japanese food and everything on menu looks phenomenal. Will definitely be back. I got the volcano with scallops, ahi tuna tower, crazy Irishman roll, and lastly meteor roll. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

I’ve been here a few times now and the service is always great. They get pretty busy on nights so I would call and make a reservation if you don’t want to join the wait. This is definitely one of the better sushi restaurants in Grapevine - Southlake area if it’s not the best. The fish always tastes fresh and they have a wide range of hand rolls and sushi to choose from! I tried the Thai Shrimp Tempura and it was AMAZING! The peanut sauce and coconut flakes were a great touch and I just thought the roll itself was so creative and well executed (I’ll be getting it again, for sure.) The ninja roll too was really good. I did try eel for the first time and while I can’t lie, I was a little apprehensive to try it when it came out, it was really good! Super tender (not what I expected) and just had a good flavor.
