I love this place. It’s humble. The price is fair for the quality of food they serve here. But, I do feel this place needs more footfalls - as to me it’s not too shabby. It’s not great place to eat Japanese dishes, but according to Nilai standard, this place is exceptional. Everytime I’m in Nilai, I will visit and eat at this place - as I want to support their business. Somehow, most of the time, I was the only customer whenever I’m there. Worst sushi and sashimi that I ever had! The salmon was not fresh and the taste was awful! The sushi rice also was not sticky enough till all the rice drop. The salmon belly on top of the sushi was really thin It was nice few years back, but now the quality really bad. I ordered 2 salmon sashimi don for a price of RM 63.18 and the salmon comes in broken pieces what type of service is this 😡. What happened to you Sushi Uchi now I do not want to order any sushi from your restaurant. Sometimes I visit this restaurant on Sunday afternoon. You have to order by using a scan code. It was somewhat uncomfortable. I have been enjoying several menus, including a grilled mackerel there. Although it is a Japanese restaurant, I have never seen Japanese there. Personally speaking, the thickness of tempura is somewhat thicker than my favorite Japanese restaurant. The taste of wasabi needs to be improved. Considering this is the only Japanese restaurant in MesaMall, there is no other choice. Enjoy. The service is quite slow maybe because of lack of manpower. The atmosphere is so-so & clean. The sushi doesn't taste that good especially the Tuna. I think they need to improve the Tuna. Food used to be very good in 2019 with large portions and more sushi dishes. But now, the portions have been cut substantially AND it costs more. I was just wanted to try new sushi restaurant and I'm kinda disappointed.. the salmon tasted great but the curry tasted like dal .... The food took soooo long to be served .. but the waitress that served us was so nice and sweet!! Had unatama don cz they were having a promotion. Taste was not bad. However very pricey considering portion is very small & only 3-4 very thin slices of grilled eel were given, unlike the depiction in the menu. Not worth the money. Portion is perhaps okay for a small eater but not for average to big eater. Nevertheless the staff that served me was quite pleasant and polite. The food is superb but the downside is limited selection of beverages. Will recommend if you like authentic Japanese food.
