This little gem of a place is located between the Wine & Tapas Bar and The Ice House. It's small yet quaint with a very welcoming home-like appeal. If you love sushi and saki, this is the place to go! They are reasonable in price and the serving staff are super friendly the moment you walk in. The prices are reasonable and both food and drink are amazing. I tried the "Te Amo" sushi roll that is on the Fiesta Menu and it is hands down one of the best rolls I have tasted. While waiting, my server (the creator of the Te Amo Roll by the way) brought out my warm blue raspberry saki that was absolutely amazing! They offer a variety of cold, warm filtered and unfiltered saki. They also have a Happy Hour from 4-7 as well! This food vlogger will definitely be celebrating her birthday in a few weeks there! Their menu offers a variety of other food besides sushi as well so why not come on out and give them a try. I promise you will enjoy every bite! We had our food delivered! The food was amazing! We ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, spring rolls as appetizer. You can tell these were made fresh. Different than any other hibachi restaurant around. Our main dishes were phenomenal! We are saddened that we haven’t tried them before! Check them out! You won’t be disappointed! The sushi was fresh and tasty, we got the spicy rock, te amo, koi, and SC rolls, they were all awesome, also had the teriyaki chicken and steak with rice, veggies and soup, everything was super flavorful. Service was great, will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We ordered the Shoyu and tonkotsu ramen & both were very disappointing. There were no veggies! I had 1 Bok choy leaf in my ramen. A few of the bamboo shoots. There was a weird corn thing? The meat was very dry & bland. The egg was fine. Also ordered a spicy tuna roll… never again. The best item we ordered was the chicken gyoza dumplings. They were actually pretty good. I used to frequent this place all the time & LOVED it. Food has really gone down hill. Maybe I’ll come back after a few years. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

To start off with, I've traveled all over the country 3 different times which has made me a hard critic when it comes to tacos and sushi specifically. The staff was very welcoming, educated, and performed well during an extreme dinner rush. None of the staff appeared to be frustrated or overworked, they worked together very well. The food was mediocre. Given its location being downtown, I expected something nicer. The rainbow wasabi roll was decent, but nothing special. The pork ramen took forever and was half decent. Great choice with the pickled ginger. Prices were affordable, however given its location I would gladly pay a couple dollars more for a more unique menu and better atmosphere. The atmosphere was very outdated, dusty, and very cluttered/ unorganized. Going to the restroom was unappealing. A little TLC and organization will Go far for this place. Revamp the place, you can be doing much more with your location. You have a prime location, use it to your advantage. This is our favorite sushi place! We've been coming here since they first opened seven or so years ago. We dine here at least twice a week because the food is excellent, service is great, and the menu offers something for everyone. Among our family favorites are: Charleston Roll, Crunch Roll, Salmon Roll, Teriyaki Chicken, Hibachi Shrimp, Yakisoba, Salmon Poke Bowl. We're crazy about their sponge cake with chocolate sauce, served warm with whipped cream on top. And as a self-declared Summerville sweet tea aficionado, I dare say their sweet tea (mixed by the manager, Kotomi) is among the best, if not THE BEST, sweet tea in town! It's perfectly steeped with a nice golden color, never bitter, and perfectly sweet. Service here is always terrific! The manager, Kotomi, is very friendly, fast, and accommodating. She knows her customers well and makes everyone feel welcome. We also love Andrew and Jasmine -- they honestly have got to be THE best servers out there! They are professional, smart, fun, fast, and very attentive. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We were excited to try this place because it reminded us of our time in Okinawa. The sushi was ok, the katsu curry could have used more curry so it wasn’t so dry (it was more of just a sauce on top of the chicken). The kids menu was overpriced ($12 for chicken nuggets and fries). Overall the experience was good just a few little things we noticed. I would come back to try the udon next time. We had the best experience here over the weekend. We are hosting a foreign exchange student from Japan and she has been with us for 3 months and has been missing food from home. Her birthday was this weekend so we took her out to Sushi 201 as it came highly recommended for authentic Japanese food. Our japanese student enjoyed the food (sushi and ramen) so much as did our entire family. Our waitress was fantastic she took the time to go over some of the sushi menu to get my husband exactly what he wanted. I stepped outside of my comfort zone and tried the katsu curry and it was amazing. Our Japanese student also tried my katsu curry and said it was just like home. My youngest picky child who thrives on pizza rolls, ravioli, and spaghetti was hungry so we convinced her to try the food and she loved the ramen and asked if we would get another order to take home. The owner also approached our student and asked her if she was japanese and where she was from. The proceed to have a conversation! it was refreshing and I think the whole experience was just what she needed as I know she has been missing real Japanese food and home. Thank you for an amazing experience and we will be back for sure. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Last Sushi Roll
