Hello. The hotel was ok. The female who runs the restaurant charged $45 for 3 orders of thin pancakes and eggs and coffee. Nothing special. She wasnt honest and gave us 2 prices. Feel like i was ripped off. ASK FOR PRICE BEFORE YOU ORDER. !!!
We visited 5 years ago and had a great experience. Awesome service, all the employees made you feel like you were part of the pack. If all works well, we will be visiting this year. Stayed in one of the rooms with private bathroom in the open and it was a great experience, loved showering looking at the stars.
We came here to camp with our rooftop tent which is allowed for $10pp a night which is a good price but if we want to use the toilet or kitchen it is $5 extra a day, which seems odd as we would just wild camp if we didn't need to use the toilet. Anyway we were happy to pay as the resort looked really nice. The owner greeted us, seemed friendly. We were excited to try pizza night that evening but unfortunately waited 2 hours for our pizza to come out and when it did arrive the dough wasn't cooked. The chef apologised after an hour of waiting and having eaten her dinner in front of us which probably isn't the best approach for paying customers.
We resolved to make sure we used the kitchen ourselves the next few days having paid the extra $5.
There are a lot of volunteers here and no one seemed to be in charge so we had 3 people come up to us asking us to pay different prices. The vibe was a bit odd but we really enjoyed the facilities, well looked after and nice and quiet.
Pros: Very nice place with pool, rooms are worth the price, 20m from the beach and great for surfing with small crowd
Cons: Only volunteers around, no owner or managing person. There is no wifi, you have to move to the far end of the surfcamp and „steal“ it from the restaurant next to this place. The restaurant and bar in the hotel is not part of the surfcamp, so when they decided to close it for a few days, it was not even possible to get a cup of coffee in the morning (and of course no breakfast)… This is very dissapointing, as during the week there is only one restaurant open (which is not particularly good).
So all in all, great place to surf but unfortunately poorly managed and very weird that the in-house restaurant is closed for days at a time…
Came for a week, stayed for 2 months. Loved everything from the beautiful, luxurious and well kept property right on the beach to the people running the place and of course the highly consistent waves right out the front door. Absolutely recommended, will come again for sure.

A1, I recommend visiting Cambutal 25 minut away, a paradise, beautiful cabins by the sea, surfing, top-class sport fishing, hiking, horseback riding, caves, diving, and the best ceviche in the world, PERUVIAN FOOD, THE BLACK PEARL, Cesar and cynthia will attend you personally, what a restaurant, the quality of its food is the best in all of panama, lomo saltado tierra fuego y mar, sashimi, tataki, pisco sour, rice chaufa, really Cambutal is the best option for tourism in the peninsula from Azuero, they are close, don't miss it, I add photos for reference...
I spent there more than a week in January 2022, once you get into the mood you don’t want to go home. It‘s a quite place where you can relax and take a break. Great weather, huge beaches with nobody around, water with a perfect temperature and great waves to surf. Depending on the period you can find easy waves for beginners or more difficult ones. The surf camp offers everything you may need, is very clean and is run by easy going people. I really recommend to spent some time there! Difficult to see better sunsets or sunrises…
Not sure how people can cry about this place. Have been here 3 days and it is perfect for being off the beaten path. Huge bay, beautiful hills. Bed is comfy, shower works great, food is nice. They have a nice shared kitchen or you can elect to eat then Nicholas crew cooks. Not to noisy and pretty clean. At $50 a night its a great deal. Don’t expect what you get at a $150 a night place. Be realistic and you will dig it. Cold beer and even a water cooler you can fill your own bottle with. Rental boards, ping pong and pool tables. This place just about has it all. Only thing I would dig since I am surfing 2-5 hrs a day would be a hot tub or massage session. Will be back often!
I stayed 4 nights at the surf camp and even when I planned a busy schedule for do all kind of outdoor activities, I stayed around the camp site on chillaxing mode all day (only "interrupted" by the surf session).||||The access to the camp from the city is very un-complicated. Just a bus ride and the small bus from Tonosí can drop you by just a few steps from the site.||||The waves are consistent and just IN-FRONT-OF the campsite. No need long walks. ||The waves pretty much fit for all levels. Beginners can book a class and feel confident to surf their first wave. More experienced surfers (like me) get challenged with the big sets, and clean conditions. Mostly what I liked is the uncrowded surf, the locals are friendly and the vibe is positive in the water.||||The camp is clean and spacious, there's plenty of boards you can choose from if you don't have yours. What I like most is the quietness and tranquility, good for put your mind on the side and just breath.||||The food is healthy and cooked with care, (how ever you can bring your own groceries). Staff is friendly and you can make friends with easily. At night you can chill watching cool surf videos in the big screen and share a glass or beer. And what else…?||||ah! you can see the Turtle nest just a few steps of the camp site…if you are a turtle lover like me, it is great to know baby turtles might be running to the ocean. :D||||the only thing I didn't liked is that I have to leave.
Отличное место для серверов любого уровня, особенно для начинающих. Хорошие и постоянные волны в 30 метрах от хостела. Небольшой, ноо уютный. Много мест для отдыха. Хороший выбор досок для аренды. Был пару раз, приятно что хозяин хостела вспомнил и даже сделал скидку.
Кто серфить, рекомендую.
