Honestly, it was a delicious sandwich. Obviously over priced, but what do you expect for the airport? Go to subway if you want to save $$. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I used to swear by Surdyks at Terminal 1, but ever since they moved to Terminal 2 it's a huge miss. Terrible service last time, yet I gave them another shot today. Since they stopped allowing full service at the bar, I followed the instructions on the signs and took a seat at the full service area across from the main counter. I waited 5 minutes, no one came. Other patrons were dining a few tables away, so I know it was open. Then 3 people came and huddled around the bar's POS system, a staff person came over, made their drinks, and left again. I was never glanced at, offered a menu, anything. I hope MSP cancels their contract.

Disappointing. I used to get to terminal 1 early to enjoy a meal at Surdyk's. The menu here is very limited... $12 Breakfast sandwiches squished under a heat lamp. It's real food, at least... Not real good unfortunately.
This is the first negative review I've ever left, and I hate to do it, but I was shocked by my experience here, especially as a longtime Surdyk's customer in Minneapolis. The food was wildly overpriced (I think $16 for a mediocre sandwich and small coffee) and less than 2 minutes after I sat down, I was informed by a staff member that I had 5 minutes to eat and leave, despite a wide array of open seating. I mean, if I'm paying that much for 2 items, I would expect to be allowed to eat in peace, especially since business was slow. Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The Surdyk’s sidebar staff are my favorite wait staff in town. Always friendly. Always attentive. I look forward to seeing them as much as the food and drink. A+! Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sunday morning at Surdyk's Terminal 2 at Minneapolis airport. I ordered a breakfast meal that had a poached egg and avocado toast. The vibe of the place was they were busy chatting with each other and the customers were a second thought. This is okay with me as long as they chat but still move efficiently for traveling customers, but not the case this morning. The cook (the only person at the time who was paying attention to the front and that I was waiting for my food) got the person to move to back to the register to give me my order. It got worse. My food was in a too big of a box and so the food was scattered inside the box. Both the look and the smell were unappetizing and to top it off the avocado was old/turning brown (see bottom right of picture). I threw it away and went elsewhere. No time to complain and too many problems to explain to them. IMO this is an example of poor training and management.

For airport dining, I give this place two thumbs up! Our server was adorable and had great wine recommendations as we were indecisive as to the white wine we wanted. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals and even ended up buying some extra wine at their wine store. If you need to decompress while traveling, give this place a try!

Love this place! They are so kind and the mimosas are *chef’s kiss*.
New update: You think I would’ve learned from my last experience but decided to try again since food options are limited in terminal 2. Ordered a tuna melt and it was very odd. The sandwich was plain white bread with plain tuna, raw cherry tomatoes sliced in half and cheddar cheese melted on top. The tuna was cold under the cheese. Are kids making your food? I do not understand. It wasn’t edible. I said said yuck to the server with an almost full plate of food and she still charged me. It would be delightful if places actually tried to make food tasty. A tuna melt is hard to mess up but this establishment did. I always stop here when flying through Terminal 2 but today was a really wierd experience. I was the only customer at the time and ordered a gluten free grilled cheese and potato salad. The staff didn't realize my order went in and didn't understand what gluten free was so it took 30 min for my lunch. I was getting concerned that my meal would not arrive before my boarding time so I inquired about it and was told that the cook did not understand how to make gluten free, I was about to cancel the order but decided to give it another minute or so. When the server placed my plate in front of me she knocked over my drink and it splashed on me and all over my seat. She apologized, I understand things happen. I asked while paying for my check if she could comp a dessert for the wait, etc and she got really upset and asked why because they couldn't figure out the bread? No, because I waited 30 min for a sandwich and had my drink spilled on me. It would be just a nice courtesy to do this, not asking for a lot. Since she was upset about me asking, I said nevermind on the dessert. For the first time I did not tip since she acted so rudely. Happy to pay my bill, happy to reward good service. This was not that, sadly. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I was there Sunday at 1:25pm. Ordered 2 sandwiches. I caught food poisoning from the ABC club. Not sure why I decided to video all the food safety practices being done incorrectly and still eat my sandwich. Shame on me I should’ve thrown it away. What I did observe though that I have reported to the Minnesota Department of health is employees eating food with their gloves on touching peoples food not washing their hands or changing gloves, touching raw chicken then touching American cheese again not washing hands or changing gloves facemask being worn at the chin what’s the point of even wearing them. It also seem that they were too busy talking to each other and customers were the last thing that they cared about. I hardly ever eat at the airport and I probably won’t ever again!
