My friends and I had an amazing evening at the Sunset Bar on our last day of the trip. We took the package inclusive of 1 cocktail and 1 food item per person, with unlimited house wine. With this package, you can take the high chair seat. I recommend the skewers and seafood platter! The skewers have a variety of lamb, beef, chicken, prawn and well grilled. The seafood platter goes well with the sauces provided (mayo, sour cream, hummus) and the portion is very generous. The drinks are not too strong and delicious. If you come before 6pm you can catch the beautiful sunset. It was one of the best sunsets I've seen during my trip here so it's worth a visit. Price per person RM 120–140 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If the sunset view is the only thing you after, I'm not sure the prices are worth it as you can get the sunset view for free from the Tanjung Garden in the hotel. However if you do drink then perhaps the free flow Champaign and the food included justify the price for a seat. It is a very popular place though so make sure you reserve early. Price per person RM 200+ Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Unfortunately the weather isn’t very ideal but if the weather is good I would say it would be the flawless spot to look at the sunset. The food is fair but I do like the freeflow package! People are generally friendly but they can speak limited English. Price per person RM 100–120 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Drinks are definitely on the pricier side (a coconut was RM28!) but the view was stunning. Was there for sunset and spent 2 hours watching the sun go down, and managed to catch all the different colour hues of the sky.

Best sunset view in KK. There are drinks and some BBQ food available. Gets popular, so try to be here before 5:30pm to get a seat or book in advance.
Really great sunset view and experience, almost unreal. Staff were attentive, limited option on the menu but understandable since it’s only for a short time. If you’re walking in 5:30PM is a good time to get good available seats. Stay a bit after the sun sets as the hues are vibrant but also dreamy (?)(lol). Diff seat areas are diff priced but the experience is definitely worth the penny (on a good sunny day).

An amazing place to chill w friends and just sit back to watch the sunset while grabbing some drinks. Walk-ins are accepted but not recommended. We were lucky we got a good seat even though we didn’t make a reservation. The drink menu was not too big, and slightly pricey but for the view, perhaps justified. Try and get there before 5:30 as you might miss out on the beautiful sunset, and the chance of getting a spot would be slim.
Shangri-la Tangung Aru is so beautiful and the staff were professional and friendly. A lot of activities here. We were lucky have a full moon here. The view was much better that the photo.
Seats are arranged to face west fot best sunset view. Music and environment is good. The sunset view is definitely best(not perfect due to cloudy weather). Food and drink is nice but not cheap, just a small price for the sunset. better arrive around 5pm for getting bettee seat. Will definitely back again when i visit sabah.
