Today they held a raffle and the prize was a T-shirt. Imagine our excitement when they called out 438042! My bf rushed to claim our prize the girl had told us that she had given it to another kid. The consolation prize was free entrance for a Saturday. That's not what we wanted, we wanted the T-shirt. I went back over with the winning ticket and I said why would you give away the prize to someone who clearly did not win it? Then the owner had the audacity to ask me if we really won and I said yeah here's the ticket. Lucky for me, I recorded when they called it out. She said that the free entrance and that the raffle was just a bonus for people attending and asked why I didn't have a wristband. The fact that they made a mistake and gave away our winning prize to someone who did not win and weren't even apologetic was not good sportsmanship. Shame on you guys for not de-escalating the situation: you guys made a mistake, and didn't honor your own raffle. You've lost our patronage. The owner could have clearly handled their mistake differently.
