I ordered online to save time. Little did I know, I'd be waiting over an hour in store.. It was a waste of time ordering online. When I finally got to let the employee know I had an online order, the employee said that they were out of steak. Umm, really? I asked if there was any in the cooler, the employee said there was. But, it's not prepped. So, I wait over an hour for this employee to not make my sub correctly? Being the order was paid online I couldn't get a refund nor change my order. So, I chose a spicy Italian and subway made money off me. I was charged steak price for no steak. The steak was in the back cooler, but employee didn't wanna bother. On top of that sadness, I watched employee try to wrap my husband's wrap like 4 times. So, I ended up rolling the wrap correctly. Also there was no choices in bread except white or wheat. Ugh

I did not dine in nor take out. Never have the chance to. There has been several times I would go get a sandwich after work,usually between 8:45 and 9pm, and the lights are on and door is locked. I have heard the hours posted under Google don't reflect their winter hours. I guess there winter hours are whatever they feel like being open. Also heard they make their employees work when they are sick. That is so not cool and disgusting. Who knows how much their food gets contaminated and I am sure a health code violation.
I'm posting as a previous employee - so they have an employee that still works there who was accused of stealing quite a bit of money and all he gets is a slap on the wrist for it. I was the shift leader, so it was my responsibility to report insubordination, both the manager AND the owner told me I need to report anything and everything to them, so I did. Turns out they really didn't like what I was reporting and communicating, so they took away all of my hours and refused to tell me why they did. When I tried to ask them, the owner (of all people) told me to shut up. They refused to talk to me at all. I wanted to have a meeting with them, but they both refused to meet with me. I honestly don't understand what their problem is, but I figured I'd get this out there in hopes those of you thinking about working there will stear clear from this place. Way too much drama, in my opinion.
There really needs to be more training given to the staff in this Location. The older guy who made my sub.. flattened my bread (I mean like everytime he touched it, he flattened it more), When he put the steak on ..He did not spread it to the length of the bread, he was really slow and DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE?! These two stars, are for his effort only! Something needs to happen, who owns this place? This was my 2nd time coming to the St.James Subway and I was not impressed with either time. Like I stated Staff needs to ne retrained and who ever is owning/running this location, needs to start caring a little more!

Update : 7-11-21. Order was placed online to be finished at 2pm. Walked in at 2:15 late on purpose, clearly I wasn't late enough. Didn't get finished until 2:18. Sub maker was extremely slow. Really should be wearing a hat or hair net also, on seeing her overall hygiene clearly shows lack of quality control. Pretty disgusting seeing someone with loose dirty hair making your food.
Lady was also not talking clearly. Only thing I was able to understand was when they finally placed my food in the bag and all I hear was "This one is still kinda warm" which is SUPER comforting considering I paid for warm food to be finished by a certain time.
I would say it was perhaps because the worker got busy, the downside to online ordering you don't see what's going on inside the store. I would say that....but there was a second worker on site who frankly was working laps around my sub maker. Late "kinda warm" food that the more I think about the more tempted I'm getting to just toss it in the trash after seeing the worker's hygiene.
Update 8-14-22 seems like they may have removed the above worker I don't see them anymore.
Ordered online today, arrived 5 mins after the deadline and nothing was done. Not fun having to wait after working 16 hours...kinda the point to online ordering "skip the line."
Staff was apologizing, friendly about it also. Both workers jumped in and got it done within minutes and did the subs great. Solid 4/5 keep this up
I've been to this Subway a few times. The sandwiches have been good every time and made quickly. The bread and veggies are good. You don't get a lot of meat on the sandwich, but unfortunately that's the same at all Subway locations I've ever been to.

Service was great, establishment was spotless but I feel like subway ingredients have been noticeably changing. Quality of the food seems to have taken a downward turn. We had another subway try again and seems like the same food Quality
I asked for ranch. I received peppercorn ranch. The bottles were not labeled correctly Absolutely disgusting. Lady behind counter was Absolutely rude. Tried SCRAPING MY SANDWICH. said wanted a new sandwich and rolled her eyes. Second sandwich with same problem.
Food was good, but they didn't have any highchairs, so lucky it was a nice day and we ended up taking our lunch to go to the park....not sure how else I would of fed my 8 month old twin boys. Also there was no changing table in the bathroom. I also noticed I was charged for 2 meals (drink and chips) and only ordered one.
online order: 15 minutes late, toasted the bread when it wasn’t suppose to be toasted. asked for extra cheese, i mean i pay for that. no extra. out of the bread i wanted, out of mayonnaise, had to put mayonnaise on my bread myself. I got here early and the worker talk to a customer for 10 minutes instead of making my order. My salad was just thrown into the to go salad box, not even mixed. I asked for extra ranch, barley any. Mariah, horrible job. I want my money back. Also no silverware.
