Went to Stokes for a Valentine’s Day dinner. We attended the Saturday before Valentine’s Day. We didn’t realize this restaurant is within the hotel and not its own standalone. We made reservations and actually got in an hour before we had scheduled to come in. The dress code for the place is just business casual. It makes itself out for a very fancy place but yet the waiters are all wearing jeans which threw us off. We chose off of a valentines special menu. It gave us a three course meal with an appetizer, entree, and a dessert. When we ordered our drinks they were unsure if they had the wine I ordered which was a search for them to find. They did eventually find the wine. The food was mediocre. The rice was overdone in my dish. The other entre wasn’t described as a pasta but yet it was, it didn’t seemed very seasoned. The desserts and appetizers were great with no issues with taste or presentation. We were served quickly, open kitchen so you can see your food being cooked which is nice. We were checked up on consistently and everyone was friendly. Overall for the price of the food it does not match. The Stoke Burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. The shrimp and grits as well as deviled eggs were really good too.
