After a long walk around Herb Brooks Arena, go to Stewart's Shops and have a rest here. This place offers you good ice cream. The cheerful staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. Service at this spot is something one can call terrific. But most people who use Google didn't give Stewart's Shops a high rating.

As a woman I am not comfortable coming to this Stewart's because every morning there are several older men sitting inside drinking coffee, staring and watching like hawks, literally every woman that walks in. Probably why not many women go to this Stewart's.

Everyone from Lake Placid is very pleasant, and good at their job. Collin is a cool guy, heck he even knows my favorite ice cream, when I make a sundae! Stewart's is the bread and butter of New York State, and we love Stewart's! 👍

Excellent staff service & egg sandwiches! Leaving review for the amazing super women running the entire show at lake placid stewarts shop on main? This amazing girl ran the whole shop : cashier, cook, stock, etc. needed early breakfast before hitting the trails. Very few choices before 7- 8am. Stewarts one of them. Wasn’t expecting much. Some pre made egg sandwiches but all with meat. When we asked if any available without lovely girl - only staff - offered to make anything requested on the spot. She somehow made 2 amazing bagel egg & cheese bagels while servicing cash register, etc with a professional attitude. Stated simply - “I’ll be right with you” to the patient locals waiting to Pay for their items. Any other human would have walkout, quit under the pressure - she handled with ease & grace - a seasoned pro. Highly admired & in awe. Thank you!,

Non ethanol gas! As a down state resident, it's impossible to get non ethanol gas. Our car never ran better!

Can understand their ID policy however I do not drink and after they wouldn’t sell beer to my friend because I (who doesn’t drink) didn’t have ID because well I wasnt buying anything with him but entirely separately my own items. YET THEY SOLD ALCOHOL to a VISIBLY DRUNK man which is illegal yet wouldn’t to my friend who is not white. This is very weird and they seem to tailor the law to themselves as they see fit.

When I walked in I thought it was quite a nice little gas station till it came to check out. The older woman working behind the counter was not only rude, but didn't take the time of day to answer any of my questions. Being from Iowa and coming to NY to only have the worst customer service ever. Wouldn't recommend.

If I could, would give 0 stars. Google shows closes at 12 AM, but yet was told it closes in 1 minute..this is at 1059 PM. I highly recommend updating your hours as this area is probably big when it comes to tourists. Im one....and depend on Google for business hours. Walked out at exactly 11 PM and the guy locked the doors as quick as possible and tried to come up with a bunch of excuses why it wasn’t updated on Google. Definitely impolite and would definitely recommend going somewhere else, and maybe somewhere with an actual fountain drink station... Wont go back.

Great Stewart’s location it’s very clean the employees are very friendly they also have great vanilla ice cream and the vibe is good they also have indoor and outdoor seating available most convenience stores don’t have seating areas so that’s also a plus the prices are normal

I went to this store to purchase an assortment of Grocery's when the cashier publicly humiliated myself as well my friends that were with us. For many years I have been a loyal Stewarts customer and my experience here made me regret my continued business to this franchise
