About
Perfectly cooked prawns, fillet steaks and lobster rolls will impress you at the first bite. Stew Leonard's should be recommended for tasty bagels, ice cream and biscuits. Delicious cider, wine or liqueur are worth trying here. You will hardly forget great iced coffee, fresh juices or ground coffee that you can drink. This place is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Democratic prices at this spot are good news for its customers. You will definitely like the cozy atmosphere and homey decor. Stew Leonard's is ranked 4.5 within the Google grading system.

Unfortunately, the fried chicken was bland. We've had better. The fried shrimp and potato wedges were good. Staff is friendly, fruit is fresh.

Over the last several months, Stew Leonards has been out of stock on almost 50% of the things that I buy on a regular basis. How can an operation the size of Stew Leonards be out of lettuce? Lettuce!!! And not just one kind of lettuce—all lettuce! I am so extremely frustrated with the store, and I have recommended that Instacart drop them as a place where Instacart offers their service. It is so frustrating to spend time trying to put an order together, only to have to keep redoing it and redoing it because you have to find items that will somehow replace what you really want. SL should shape up. The original store in Norwalk has become a wasteland. When you can only get 50% of what you need, they no longer deserve to be in business. And yes, I know all about supply orders & the pandemic. But Stop & Shop is not out of stock. ShopRite is not out of stock. In fact, the little Village Market in Wilton is not out of stock. So that tells you that SL, as an operation, is failing miserably; now simply an entertaining place to drag your kids. Stew Leonard, the original founder, the brilliant innovator who created this concept store, would be horrified by how his store is being run. I’ve tried calling, I’ve tried texting and nobody there cares. So my suggestion is Instacart shoppers and Fairfield county shoppers boycott Stew Leonards. Take your business elsewhere and let them know that they are no longer needed. With the recent death of a customer due to product mislabeling and now a recall on chicken products my trust and stew Leonards is extremely low. Very sad.

Used to be a good place to shop, and had great bargains when they posted their specials on Wednesday. Ever since covid the prices are ridiculous. Milk is actually almost a dollar more than Trader Joe’s, and everything else has gone up so much I have no idea how a family can possibly afford it. Same seafood, actually a better quality at Shop Rite for a fraction of the cost. Instead of doing this ridiculous expansion maybe try treating your customers a little better. I have a feeling they are going to be in trouble when Wegmans opens, I certainly can’t wait.

Layout is great, takes you on a linear journey throughout the store. Plenty of little surprises along the way. Good prices and selection. Good amount of kosher certified products. Stuff shown isn’t kosher, but pretty.
Shopping at Stew Leonard's offers fresh, high-quality products, a unique and interactive store experience, excellent customer service, and a variety of local and organic options. However, this comes with higher prices compared to regular supermarkets. The store's selection is more limited, focusing mainly on perishables and fewer pantry staples. The unique layout can be crowded and overwhelming, especially during peak times. Additionally, Stew Leonard's locations are limited, primarily in the Northeastern U.S., which may not be convenient for everyone. The decision to shop here depends on individual priorities like quality versus price and product variety.
The gift box customer service is the worst. I order 2 gift boxes and a brownie tin. The boxes arrived not presentable because these boxes were used for shipping meaning they got dirty and dented . The dairy arrived warm and one of the chocolate 1/2 way melted. They don’t use dry ice. They just dump everything in the boxes and shipped. I try to communicate with customer service and the lady was not helpful at all . I wanted to go to the store and exchange the cheeses and she was impossible . So she ended up to shut me off and said that will send replacement cheeses with dry ice which never arrived. Mind you I offered to drive to the store for replacement for the damaged items . To top it off the brownie tin arrive dented. At that point I was too disappointed and annoyed that decided to just dispose the damaged items and buy something else for gift. So I hope this review is useful considering how important it is to get what you pay for and do not but gift boxes from Stew Leonard.
Was shopping with family wanted to do the save 20 on order of 50 or more for curb side pick...but app is not working...expand to a Manger that doesn't want to give me his name ...it starts with a J...so I want to take a picture of his name he grabbed my phone from my hand...I grabbed it back and yelled at him to not touch my property...the he yelled at me to get out and that the register belongs to him..I told him a paying for my food...my card is in the machine...then he start getting close to my 10 year old son...I told him to step away from him...because this Manger has some Violent tendencies! Then he called Security on me and tells me to get the hell out..so women from Customer service desk to Security that he didn't touch me when he did. Like? She could see from where she's behind customer service.... Talk about a blatant lie.! We paid and leaving Being treated like we were thieves or violent offenders or even worse. I've been shopping there for over 15 years.! And I don't want to even explain how many times I've cheated from there... I'm wondering if this manager ever read the rule number one at the store.! I have never been more embarrassed by the people that are there the managers. And how? Your security team automatically thinks that they can attack us while we are walking away. I believe you have security cameras and you can see what happened very nasty stuff. The only person I feel sorry for is the poor girl that was working the register....! Talk about losing somebody's business in a hurry.!

I love shopping at Stew's. The smells from one zone to another are amazing. Samples are yummy and you must get an ice cream cone and check out the animals outside for the full experience. It gets really crowded during holidays, especially the Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Shop, but both are worth visiting.

If Disney and IKEA had a baby, it would be Stew Leonard’s. I’m from the west. We don’t have anything remotely close to this and we are missing out! A definite attraction. How often do you feel the urge to whip out your phone and take pictures at a grocery store?

This was my first time going here, I was introduced about this place from my professor asked us if we ever been here and I’ve been thinking about going ever since. It’s been 4 years since I was last told about it and the enthusiasm about his experience made it on my bucket list. This place is fantastic, great quality items, meats, produce everything was amazing. The buffet has a lot of options a lot of different things you can try. The staff is very nice and they all work really hard making everything fresh. I wish it was closer because I live in Brooklyn. Their ice cream is also delicious. I can’t wait to make this my primary shopping place. Everyone should visit a Stew Leonard’s once in their life it’s a shopping experience like no other grocery store.
