Spoon River is a hidden gem! If I only had one word to describe this place it would be… Mouthwatering food, beautiful atmosphere, amazing service, and impeccable ownership! Okay so hard to say just one word about it lol! Teresa & Mark are Amazing owners and Chef Paul will Soon be a winner of the next culinary award! Mark my words!! The crew is amazing at introducing daily chef specials, drinks, wine recommendations, and always making sure you are satisfied. There are some places worth the drive and wont disappoint! Spoon River is one of them! Add this place to your bucket list of places to try in Eastern North Carolina PS- Teresa has the best wine recommendations! Be sure to stop and chat with her! This restaurant is the best one within a two hour drive. The host and owner/manager made me feel right at home - so welcoming. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service delightful. We’re big foodies, and Spoon River is hands down one of our very favorite restaurants!! Everything on the menu is divine, but I’d suggest ordering the specials. We adore Tamika, and her recommendations are always perfect! We’ll be planning a trip back to Belhaven soon just to visit Spoon River and over eat! Everything here is delicious! If you go here I highly recommend any specials- they're all fantastic. Dinned here twice and will definitely return to try more meals. Music and atmosphere is quant and fitting. Very artistic classy yet relaxed. The Cordon Blue and Ribeye and home made linguine were made with fresh ingredients all which were good portions and barely left room for desert. The selection of wines and alcoholic beverages were wide and will suit many choices. Everything was wonderful. Easy to make reservations by text! Easy to find the restaurant. Easy to walk in. The owner is so hospitable. She welcomed us. We sat by a book shelf and I felt like I was in my aunts living room. The food was delicious from appetizer to one of the best piece of cake I ever tasted. My meal was a thick bone in pork chop with sweet potato risotto. I would recommend Spoon River Artworks to everyone. I haven't even had the opportunity to eat here yet, but have to give it 5 stars because of the atmosphere and the wonderful owner, Teresa. My girlfriends and I were in town during off-hours, and Teresa happened to be there and gave us a short tour. She was so kind and welcoming. We all want to come back for dinner or brunch sometime soon. Atmosphere: 5

This place was amazing. Since we walked in we were welcomed with warmth and friendliness. Both owners were super attentive and graciously engaged throughout the whole night. All waiters were extremely kind as well. The food was AMAZING the appetizers were incredible we’ve never tried something like that. We had so much fun dining here. The atmosphere is something you'd find in a trendy area of a large city. Beautiful and elegant yet warm. We enjoyed the great drink options with countless wines and beer and fun and featured cocktail options. We appreciate the "not your run of the mill" appetizer offerings. Dinner menu was filled with excellent options and everything was delicious. We had one small snafu with a steak not being cooked to the correct temperature, but the owner went above and well beyond our expectations to compensate for the mishap. This restaurant is always a joy! The service is excellent, the atmosphere feels like family and the food is superb. I had salmon and it was excellent as a leftover lunch. My husband had vegan stuffed tomatoes and I'm telling you, I'm having that next time. Chef is so thoughtful and the presentation is gorgeous.
