Lovely Szechuan joint nestled in the belly of Kirkland. I've been coming for years, even their previous location, which I actually liked better. I always receive delicious and friendly service and they have all my spicy favorites along with non-spicy for the kids/non-spicy seekers, haha. I also love the fact that there is a Scarface painting hanging on the wall. Normally I'd be confused, but noting the bird houses and other RANDOM nicknacks right as you enter the door helps it all make sense. LOVE THIS PLACE! Take-out is also legit! Dinner with my friends last night and this was SUCH great food! A friend recommended it, and it's worthy. Not fancy, just nice, good food, simple, tasteful decor and atmosphere. I had the Cumin Beef (wonderfully spicy( and Garlic Green Beans (not spicy at all, just really good), Mongolian Beef (yummy and hardly spicy), and Dan Dan Noodles (so interesting, different, really yummy-tasty). I'll be back. I'll gladly travel across the city for food this good! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Easy 5 stars from us. We got the spicy cabbage, crispy sichuan tofu and spicy stir fried dry bean curd. Everything came out piping hot, very freshly made and so so delicious. Several vegan options not limited to the ones we got. Friendly service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Wild Chili Prawns - 4/5 Szechuan Beef - 4.5/5 Food was great. No complaints about the service but it is a typical szechuan place. The food is a little more expensive than what you would expect (about $18 for the beef and $20 for the prawns) and the quantity was just right for the price but both the prawns and beef were cooked perfectly! Ordering a couple of appetizers might have pushed this from a $ to a $$ restaurant. Might be nice to go with more people and order a variety of dishes to share. Would go for their lunch specials next time around! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Hidden away from street view, but a hidden gem for great Chinese food. We stopped by and it was quaint, but well decorated. The staff is incredibly friendly and the menu is expansive. I loved their mapo tofu with pork and sizzling beef (not pictured). Parking can be tricky on a busy day, but otherwise there is typically parking available. It was hot and fresh and delicious! I brought my mom the next day after my significant and I had come to try it. The noodles are hand cut which made it all the more satisfying. It’s a family style restaurant so dishes are portioned to be shared! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Chow Mein

Very good authentic Szechuan food. Nice little cozy inside to eat in as well. Little expensive but is my favorite restaurant. Honey Walnut Prawn: super sweet perfection Orange Chicken: a bit bland to eat by itself but good portion Fish & Soft Tofu in Spicy Gravy: spicy tofu, fish, bamboo 10/10 Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Oh I think I found my new favorite local Chinese food place! What a gem. Spicy Talk is a simple little place near Fred Meyer in Totem Lake. The food was delicious, well seasoned. Easy dine-in plus takeout as an option. We ordered Szechuan wontons, Singapore rice noodles, plus Mandarin crispy chicken with fried rice and sweet & sour soup. I would happily eat all of it again and I’m especially looking forward to the Mandarin chicken. It offers a light puffy coating deep fried and doused in a sauce that I could not get enough of. Service was friendly and super fast (lunch hour, weekday). Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

Nice little Chinese bistro near Fred Meyer. It has been around in Redmond, Bellevue and now Kirkland. It is Szechuan style Chinese food. Some may say the prices are high, but you receive very large portions. We had the deep-fried tofu as an appetizer, and it was well cooked and not rubbery. We then ordered the pork fried rice, the Mandarin crispy chicken, and the Singapore rice noodle. The waitress was friendly and knew the dishes very well. The pork fried rice didn't look greasy and was nice and hot. The Mandarin crispy chicken was scrumptious. The Singapore rice noodle when we first got it was very salty and seemed they put too much curry powder on it. The waitress got our order redone and the 2nd time, it was much better. We happen to come by around 4pm so it wasn't too busy that there weren't any empty seats, but they definitely were busy with takeout orders. All in all, I found the pricing more than fair, especially, since we got to bring leftovers home. The waitress says you can reserve only for parties of six or more. Parking is adequate and if need be, you can always park in the Fred Meyer lot and just walk over. I would definitely come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is my favorite takeout place, in the world. I’m not even exaggerating. I tell my wife every time we get this, that if anything ever happens to me, to serve it at my funeral in honor of my favorite meal. The best is the sesame chicken. We also love the tofu eggplant, garlic green bean, and salt and pepper shrimp.
