Do not eat here! They deliberately overcharge for their food.
I decided to get chicken with ginger. The prices aren't written on the menu, so I asked how much the meal would cost. They wrote down 30,000 which I thought was a bit pricey but I knew it would be a big meal for that price so I ordered it anyway. When it came to me asking for the bill, the price of the dish was suddenly 60,000! I told her this was wrong but she didn't say anything so I paid maybe thinking I had misread the price. While she went to get change for my money, I found the scrap saying 30,000 on it and showed it to her. She just said something in Laos and acted like nothing wrong had happened.
I was gonna give 3 stars because the food was pretty good and maybe I had made a mistake somewhere, but then I spoke to my guesthouse owner about my experience and he knew which restaurant I had been at without me even telling him. It turns out he's been screwed here too. He says the people who work here are Vietnamese and they even overcharge the local Laos people.
Reasonalble price even we ate it without asking the price at late night 10pm. Nice food and friendly boss. Had a nice karaok session with their family even we cant communicate with each other. And non the less, free beer on the house :)
