Will have to come back during a non-RW time as the food was just okay and felt bad that our server was so busy and no one was really helping. Had to ask staff for water a few too many times and utensils. The tiramisu dessert was definitely the best out of everything we tasted followed by the Surf and Turf. We enjoyed our night out at Sorellina. We had margarita pizza, butternut squash bisque, Salsiccia Italiana x 2, and salad. The food was all very good, came out hot and correct. Our server was good and when we ordered a beer that was out she went to their next door bar and got some. The atmosphere is nice as well. We will go back and recommend this restaurant to others. Great food, service and drinks!!! Seafood pasta selections are fabulous along with a solid wine list. I have been here a few times over the past 5 years and have always had a fantastic dining experience. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. Although, Traverse City is a seasonal resort town without a ton of professional wait staff (for the that reason)...so maybe give the kids working at some of these places a break. Drinks were good but nothing over the top. We got the bread for two and the oil vinaigrette was perfect and the amount was good. The lasagna was filling and good. We enjoyed dinner at this downtown restaurant. Drinks were decent. Food wasn’t memorable, but it was good. We had short ribs (very tender), eggplant Parmesan (the best dish) and Salsiccia. We visited Saturday night. Hour wait to be seated which was perfectly fine and expected with no reservation. We had a nice glass of wine at the bar. You can sit at either bar (Slate) and they both have their own great vibe. We loved the ambiance and decor. It is upscale but not pretentious. The food was the best and far exceeded our expectations. The staff was wonderful and while they were all very hard-working and busy, they were also very friendly and attentive. You know management is doing something right when you have such an amazing staff. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time and we will for sure be back. The ambiance is really nice. But…. The service was not good. We were served martini’s in a brandy glass and the glasses had lip prints. The servers were inexperienced, and unfortunately unfriendly. There was no apology for the glassware or the cold pasta dish. I will come back and hopefully have a better experience. Glasses should be appropriate for the drinks being served, and polished. Came in on a Friday with no reservation and waited about 45 minutes, which is fair for a Friday night. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive; however we sent back the calamari, tasted like it had just come out of a microwave - very disappointing. We got the Alfredo and Gamberitti, both were mediocre at best.. Honestly, could have made better at home or gone to a chain for the price. Seems like it's gone done hill.
